Karen and Frank return to the garage after their “bleacher” date.
Karen (the lucky girl) is wearing Frank’s jacket…I’m **swooning** over Frank myself.
Karen: You know, if all of high school had been like tonight, I never would’ve graduated. Thank you.
Frank: So it’s official: now you’re wearing my ring.
Karen: So we’re going steady?
They kiss.
The computer kicks in.
Frank: Look, there’s another message from Cookie, finally.
Cookie: I need to talk to you, I’m in big trouble.

Livvie asks Chris how he got her diary. Chris assures her it’s a mistake. Livvie nastily accuses Chris of snooping on her. (Believe me, Chris, this is the BEST thing to ever happen to you…you’re way too good for Livvie).

Arianna and Dr. Riverdance (Ian) are packing. Arianna really wants to keep the pictures of her and Ian, and Ian says no, but they’ll always have their memories. Dr. Riverdance goes to the hospital to change her medical records. Dr. Riverdance promises that one year from now, Arianna will call him at the Rec Room to tell her how great her new life is. Before leaving, Dr. Riverdance tells Arianna to lock the door, and don’t open the door to anyone.

Eve is at her locker, looking at the broken statue. Ben comes out with a rope, but unfortunately, Eve doesn’t see him.

Frank and Karen are at the computer.
Karen (to Cookie, typing): What kind of trouble are you in, Cookie?
Frank: She said her dad went ballistic when she used his computer.
Karen: Poor kid.
Cookie: You’re the only ones I can talk to. I hope you’re real.
Karen (to Cookie): We’re real, talk to us.
Cookie: My best friend died a couple of weeks ago. I really loved her. My dad drinks all the time.
Karen: She’s really upset.
Karen types: Talk to your mom or a teacher about your problem.
Cookie: I can’t, I don’t have anyone.
Karen: How about a school counselor?
Frank reads: If her dad find out she’s toast.
Cookie: I’ve got to find a way out.
Karen: This is very serious, something’s really wrong.

Eve is taking a shower. Ben is still around with a rope. Eve comes out to the locker room (what, no wet hair, Eve?)
Colleen comes in the locker room, telling her that Mrs. Delvecchio needs to see her NOW. So, doggone it again, Ben doesn’t get to kill Eve and put us out of our misery.

Livvie and Chris continue to argue about the diary. Chris keeps saying that he didn’t take her diary. Livvie correctly surmises that Estelle’s nurse took the diary. Livvie tells Chris he has a “sick sense” and how she thought he was different from the rest yet he stole her diary (for the umpteenth time). Chris claims he was trying to protect her, he did it for her. Livvie claims that Jack was right about Chris, and she rips up their tickets to Paris. Chris grabs her, tells her she’s not going anywhere, and then grabs her hair, and tells her to look in the mirror, look at her history, her family’s history of craziness.

Arianna flashes back to the night the she and Ian (Dr. Riverdance) took pictures of their scrapbook to fool the INS. She (stupidly) leaves the apartment to go retrieve the scrapbook.

Dr. Riverdance runs into Eve at the nurses’ station. He offers to hold down the fort for Colleen…who doesn’t get the hint but later does.
Dr. Riverdance tells Eve how beautiful she is. Eve, as always, is very melodramatic (ick). Ben is around, makes a noise, but they don’t see him. Dr. Riverdance goes into Eve worship, which I refuse to type up, because I find it sickening.

Karen: Frank, this kid’s in trouble. She just lost her best friend, if she had one, and her dad is a drunk.
Frank: You don’t believe her?
Karen: I’m saying we’re not qualified to help her.
Frank: We just can’t walk away.
Karen: I just have this feeling if we get involved we’ll screw things up. We’re over our heads.
Frank: What other options are there? We don’t know how we’re connected to her. If we ask questions we may scare her off.
Karen: That’s exactly what I’m saying. We don’t know enough to help her.
Frank: Come on, Karen. She’s just a girl, who needs a shoulder to cry on. What else is there to know about her?
Jim Croce’s Time in a Bottle is on the radio. The deejay on the radio says he’s sure this is going to be a #1 song. The calendar shows March 30, 1973, the last Friday in March.

As “Time in A Bottle” is playing, Arianna is looking at pictures of her and Dr. Riverdance.
