Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 3-Apr-2001

Ben shows up at the police station as Kevin is telling one of the officers (hey-where's Garcia??? He usually shows up everywhere!) what Ben has done. As the officer was preparing to arrest Ben for his sister's attempted murder, a gentleman from the consulate produced diplomatic immunity papers and both he and Ben felt confident they had sidestepped the system. It was assured Ben would be dealt with in his country, but Kevin knew better. Kevin stated that if Port Charles officers couldn't arrest Ben, then he (Kevin) was going to state that Ben was a danger to others and could, by state law, be held for observation at the psych ward at General Hospital for 72 hours. Ha! Take that Ben! So they take him away, with Ben vowing he will complete what he came there to do.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, the doctors struggle to save Arianna. Ian and Eve are horrified at what has happened, and all the while they were playing doctor in a vacant room in the hospital!
Monica shows up to operate on Arianna, and she and Chris ban Ian and Eve from the OR. Of course, Ian is blaming himself. What doesn't threaten to make them closer could tear them apart. As Arianna is being operated on, Kevin tells Ian and Eve what happened with Ben, and the diplomatic immunity.

Ben has escpaed from the psych ward...boy that was quick! Makes you feel great about the security! He knocked the security guy out. Ian gets a call on his cell phone, and quickly leaves with lame excuses to Eve and Kevin. Ian meets Ben on the roof of hospital, promising to even the score.

Lucy goes to visit Livvie and as Livvie begins to tell her that Chris stole her diary and tried to manipulate her into thinking he knew what she thought, needed, and dreamed for, Lucy slipped and said she couldn't believe Chris would take her diary home and read it. Hey----how did you know that Lucy??? Oops! Lucy told Livvie she saw Chris with the diary at the hospital and that "the universe" put her there so she could take the diary from him, and place it in her apartment so Livvie would find out what Chris had been doing. As the web spins, Lucy reveals to Livvie that Kevin was involved too! Livvie ends up THANKING Lucy for what she did, to show her Chris' true colors. Lucy urges Livvie to get Jack back. Livvie rushes to find Jack...

On the next Port Charles...Jack snuggles up with someone OTHER than Livvie at the garage, and Ian gets Ben in a chokehold...
