Port Charles Update for Friday, 6-Apr-2001

Livvie greets Jack sans clothing, at the river, where they start to kiss. Jack apologizes
about Sam, Livvie tells him she and Chris are over. Jack tells Livvie that he loves her and has for a long time. They finally do the deed and afterward, they agree to forget about the time they wasted with Sam and Chris. Livvie admits that in their time apart, he was always on her mind and Jack vows never to let her get away from him again.

Frank unplugs Nellie and Karen enters the garage. We finally see Karen from below her now very ample bosom! She doesn’t believe that Frank has finally pulled the plug, and notices the message on the screen. Cookie has sent a message pleading with Frank to answer. Karen freaks out but Frank is truly concerned for the girl. He tells Karen he will find out where Cookie lives and direct her toward counseling, then cease to have contact with her. Cookie sends Frank a message that she’s having a hard time with her dad, and tells him that dad doesn’t want her on the computer anymore, that he got a nasty shock (like the one Karen got) when he tried to unplug it. Frank is noticeably unsettled at this coincidence. He tries to convince her to let him find help for her and at first Cookie is uncomfortable telling Frank where she lives, but finally confides that she lives in New York, in a town called Port Charles. Karen has left to have girls night with Rhonda. At Karen’s apartment, they go through boxes of Rhonda’s old possessions. They find a lava lamp, Partridge family lunchbox and a photo of Karen’s deceased aunt Carolyn, who was Rhonda’s older sister that died before Karen was born.

At General Hospital, Ian holds Arianna’s hand as Eve looks on. Arianna’s eyelids flutter and she squeezes Ian’s hand. He apologizes for what's happened and vows not to leave her. Eve looks quite dejected and walks away. Ian tells Arianna that she must fight to get better and that he won’t let her be alone. He strokes her hair and we see a close-up of his wedding ring. Meanwhile, Eve visits the bed they were making love in while Arianna was being attacked. Chris finds Eve there and tells her that he and Livvie are over. He notices Eve’s mood and she dumps all her guilty feelings on Chris, who is surprisingly sympathetic. Back in Arianna’s room, Ian tells her that he figured out how Ben got to her, and that she can stay in Port Charles and live her life with him. Chris arrives and insists that Ian leave so he can examine Arianna, and sends him looking for Eve. Ian finds her and acts concerned but she tells him not to worry about her. After asking how Arianna is doing, Eve ponders their destiny. Ian still loves Eve more than ever, he assures her, but asks at what cost they should be together. Eve says she wishes they could do more than just feel guilty about what happened to Arianna to which Ian replies “We can’t do this anymore, it’s over.”

On Monday, Eve and Ian disagree on the future course of their relationship and Karen learns more about her mysterious Aunt Carolyn.
