At the bike shop, Alison is happy that they haven't lost money recently. When they start to show a profit, she's going to go through with her plans for a cafe. Jamal lovingly teases her. She goes to find Jack in his apartment and is embarrassed to find him in bed with Livvie. Later, Livvie and Alison talk on one side of the garage about Livvie and Jack getting together while Jamal and Jack talk on the other side. Sam comes in, wanting to talk with Jack. Alison wants to stay and see what happens, but Jamal takes her outside where they encounter Amanda. Sam tells Livvie and Jack that she and her friends were just trying to have some fun, but she went too far and wants to apologize. She tells Livvie that Jack made it very clear that he didn't want her. Livvie says that she was glad that Sam woke her up. She and Jack are together now. Sam leaves. Livvie and Jack kiss. Outside, Sam eavesdrops on Alison and Jamal talking with Amanda. When Alison tells Amanda about opening up a cafe, Amanda says that she thinks it's a wonderful idea and offers to help them out. Alison says that she doesn't need Amanda's help. She has a new family now- Jamal, Livvie and Jack. Sam smiles smugly as she leaves. Inside, Alison tells her Nana that she would rather be penniless and homeless than a Barrington. Amanda looks weak and faint. She asks for water. Amanda clutches her chest and collapses, as Livvie tells all to give her room.

At GH, Frank gives Karen a piece of his computer. He says it's Nellie's "heart." Nellie is history. He hopes that he and Karen are not. She kisses him. We see Nellie with her parts all scattered around. The lights go on and a message from Cookie appears on the screen, saying she needs Frank. Karen tells Frank that her whole connection with her deceased aunt is weird. Not only did her aunt look like her twin, but she wanted to be a doctor also. Karen is amazed that she has been wearing her aunt's locket without realizing who it belonged to. Frank and Karen go to the cemetery where Karen tells her Aunt Carolyn how much she wishes she had met her. At the same time, Cookie is drinking a bottle of beer and trying desperately to contact Frank on the computer. When Karen says that she wonders exactly how much she is like Aunt Carolyn, Frank muses that whatever someone does today could impact others in the future. Frank asks how Aunt Carolyn died. Karen says her mother says it was an accident. We see that the grave is marked with Carolyn's birth and death years: 1948-1973. Next we see a 1973 calendar above Cookie's computer. Beer bottles are lined up. Cookie types that everyone is gone now, so she might as well be too.

Eve wants to use an experimental drug on Arianna, but Ian says no way. The drug has only been tried on premature infants. Eve says that Arianna could die without help. She tells Ian that he can't just will Arianna to live. Ian says to not be so sure. Ian says that what Arianna needs is someone by her side giving her the will to live. He knows he should have been there when Arianna needed him. Eve keeps trying to convince Ian to try the new drug on Arianna. When he says how he feels: that if Arianna was given the drug and she died, they would be absolved and not have to feel guilty, Eve asks Ian if he thinks that she wants Arianna dead. He answers no. Eve asks him to take a step back, to distance himself. Ian says his next step is to take Arianna out of GH. Eve says he can't. He says he can.........and he will.
