Port Charles Update for Thursday, 3-May-2001

Kevin continues to talk with Frank about his imaginary friend "Karen Wexler". Even though Kevin has a hard time believing his story (Frank tells him everything about the computer and 1973 and Rhonda and Scott not conceiving Karen) Kevin agrees to help him because he sees that Frank believes so strongly in his story. Kevin tells Frank to tell him about Karen, and Frank tells Kevin how he and Karen met, fell in love, and that she is the love of his life. Frank tells Kevin about Karen's physical characteristics and as he is talking, Kevin draws a picture which turns out to look exactly like Karen. Kevin tells Frank he will enlist Victor's help to try and find Karen.

Nana is out of the hospital and comes to see Allison at the bike shop. Jamal has just told Allison he can't have a special dinner with her that she has planned, because he has other plans tonight. His other plans are to race in the bike race so that Zack wont harm Allison. Jamal tells Jack to keep an eye on Allison while he is gone, and that he will tell Allison everything after the race. Nana tells Allison how proud she is that she has made the bike shop a seemingly great new business without anyone's help. Allison tells Nana she knows the $25,000 came from her, and tells her about the safe deposit box and the anonymous letter. Nana assures her she didn't give her the money, as her medling in Allison's life is what caused their estrangement in the first place. After Nana leaves, Allison tells Jack she knows that Jack knows what is going on because of all the whispering and secrets Jack and Jamal seemed to have had from her lately. Allison realizes Jamal either did something bad to earn the money, or is in some real trouble. She presses Jack to tell her where Jamal is.

Rhonda is brought into the E.R. with possible alcohol poisoning/overdose. As the staff tries to save her, they do tests including blood work, and find that Rhonda is a blood match for Arianna. Eve tells Calleen they may have a donor for Arianna. Rhonda agrees to donate a portion of her liver to Arianna, but HELL-O! She has a history of drinking-her liver is probably worth nothing. Ian overhears Eve say that Rhonda could be a donor and after the nurse leaves, Ian tells Eve that this could be the answer they are looking for. Eve is shocked to hear this, as Ian seemed so dedicated to being with Arianna, but Ian tells her there is still a chance for them (yeah!) and that he knows his sister Granya would approve, as he loves her very much. Ian tells Eve he wants to grow old with her, have children (well...by the way Ian....) and live out their happy lives. Ian is elated, and begins to tell him she is pregnant......

On the next Port Charles...Allison tries to find out where Jamal is and what he is up to, Frank tells Kevin that Karen was a donor match for a liver transplant for Arianna, and Chris gives a "proposal" to Eve.
