Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 9-May-2001

Time is ticking away for Arianna, as Ian tells Frank she is slowly getting worse. Without a transplant, there isn't much hope. Ian realizes the herbs that are being flown in by the Chief are a long shot to get Frank back to 1973 but if it could save Arianna, he will try to help. Frank says if he can just get back to 1973 he can change the course of events, and then Karen will return and be a liver donor for Arianna. Frank told Ian he told his family he was going on a fishing trip to Alaska so they wouldn't be concerned about his current state of "mind".

Kevin has spent all night in his office drawing pictures of the ficticious "Karen" based on the description Frank gave him. He finally relents that perhaps (through Lucy's coaxing) maybe Frank isn't crazy and there is something to his story. Kevin visits Frank and tells him he knows he isn't going on a fishing trip and that he is starting to believe his story, otherwise, why would Frank go to so much trouble to rescue the damsel "Karen".

Eve is preparing to leave town for a short trip. She tells Chris she needs to get away for awhile and think, and try to decide what to do. Chris is worried about her, and tries to talk her into staying, or at the very least marrying him as they had talked about, but she says "No, not at the moment." As she leaves town, she gets a flat tire and pulls over to the side of the road. Her instinct to change it herself is overshadowed by her wish to take care of her unborn child and not let anything happen with her pregnancy. She waits for the auto club to come and rescue her, and pretty soon Ian drives by. He's on his way to the airport for the shipment of herbs. They get close for a brief moment, but Eve pulls back and then begs Ian to go away with her. He tells her he can't, he has things to do. As she comments that his "things" are for Arianna, he tells her they are for "all of them".

Chris has invited a jeweler to come to his office to show him some rings. He wants to buy one for Eve and propose. He finds a beautiful, one of a kind ring, and feels that will be the perfect fit.

On the next Port Charles...Jamal and Allison's place is trashed, Lucy tells Kevin Frank wasn't on his flight to Alaska as scheduled, and Ian wonders, after administering the herbs with the Chief to Frank, whether Frank is ok.
