In "their cabin" Eve has flashbacks of Ian talking about having a family and a future with her. We see months of flashbacks, showing the whole history of Eve and Ian, with Arianna and then Eve with Chris talking about her pregnancy and a possible life together. Eve begins to cry and walks outside to get some air. Walking in the woods, Eve tells her baby how wonderful it is to experience everything in nature, especially for the first time. She'll be there to share all of it with her child. She wishes that the baby's father could be there too. Maybe Chris will be there. Eve looks around and realizes she has lost her way. She tries to talk herself into calming down. Eve hears a noise which frightens her. She sees a man chopping wood.
As Rhonda lies in her hospital bed, Kevin looks at his sketch of Karen and then at Rhonda who is holding a photo of her with Caroline. They talk about her being a perfect match for Arianna, but she can't donate her liver because of all the damage done from a lifetime of drinking. She says she knows she's drinking herself to death. She doesn't care. She has nothing to live for. Kevin says that Rhonda must have something in her life that makes her smile. Rhonda says that there was years ago, but that's all over now. These last couple of weeks with Frank Scanlon have made her miserable. Kevin asks if she remembers any of the things that Frank has been talking about. Rhonda says she would have remembered having a daughter. When Kevin asks about her talking to someone on the computer, Rhonda becomes emotional and says she doesn't want to talk about it. Getting out of bed, she drops the picture of her and her sister. Kevin picks it up and compares it to his sketch of Karen. When he finds out that the picture is of Rhonda and Caroline, and that Frank never met Caroline, Kevin is astounded.
Jamal can't believe that his tape of Zach is missing. He asks Alison if she touched the tapes. She says no. Livvie admits it may be her fault. She used what she thought was blank tapes to tape music off the radio. There's a knock at the door. Zach and Sam enter with their tape. He says it's not his thing. Sam jokes that he prefers Christina Aguilera. Jamal tells Zach that he still has the original tape. Zach asks why the others look so nervous then. Alison says it's because there is scum like him in her house. Zach wants to talk to Jamal alone. Alison reminds Jamal that there will be no more secrets. Jamal tells Zach that he can talk to him and Alison outside. Sam starts to come on to Jack and Livvie asks her if she hasn't been humiliated enough. Sam says she's just being friendly. Outside, Zach tells Jamal that he wants him to race one more time. Jamal agrees. After Zach and Sam leave, Alison, Jack and Livvie can't believe that Jamal agreed to race. Livvie tells Jack that she feels it's her fault for taping over the conversation. In an alley, Sam asks Zach what happens when Jamal finds out the truth. Zach answers: "that's easy. He dies."
In the park in 1973, Frank hears a mother and a child playing. A ball rolls by his bench. A young boy comes running after it. Frank gets a look of recognition on his face. The mother calls out for "Frankie." A pregnant Mary appears and Frank is mesmerized by the situation. When Mary and Frankie start to leave after having a brief conversation with Frank, Frank calls out "wait Mom!" When Mary is amazed that Frank called her Mom, Frank is quick to explain that he didn't know her name. He only knew her as Frankie's Mom. He asks her to go for a cup of coffee with him. She explains that she is on her way to apply for a nursing position at General Hospital. Maybe it would be ok if she was late. Remembering that he should not change any history, Frank insists that Mary go to GH. Before she leaves, he asks her if she knows where the Wexlers live. After she tells him, Frank can't stop beaming at Frankie. After Mary and Frankie leave, Frank can't believe what has just happened. He goes to the Wexlers. He hides when he hears someone coming out. It's Caroline, who bears a striking resemblance to Karen.
