Port Charles Update for Monday, 21-May-2001

Jack is missing in the woods and Livvie has called Jamal and Allison to help find him. After a few minutes of searching, they find Jack face down and groggy on the ground away from his and Livvie's "camp" site. He assures them he is fine and wants to go back to camp and get a fire going and get warm, but Livvie thinks they should take him to the hospital. He refuses and says he just feels extremely cold, and can't figure out why. His flashlight is also missing. (It appears to me that Jack thinks something else has happened, and perhaps his hunches will be revealed to Jamal).

Mystery man Michael revealed to Eve that he is a priest. She seemed surprised and a little shocked, and soon told him she thought at first he was a pyschopath in the woods, but after finding him so charming, felt that maybe he was hitting on her. The somewhat shy Michael asked Eve what she was running from and why she was there at the cabin alone. She explained that she was married to a wonderful man, but her soulmate came along and she could not deny their strong bond and eternal love. However, this man isn't exactly "free". Michael told her no one is ever truly free, free from responsibilities, commitments etc. But she should not let those things get in the way of being with the one you love. He began to share scripture and verse from the bible about faith, hope and all things GOD, and turned to find Eve asleep. She hasn't slept well (she told him earlier) and apparently "all things God" put her out for the night, in the same confines of the monestary with Priest Michael. He covered her and left.

Kevin and Lucy go to Ian's to try and find out what has happened to Frank. After Ian denies he knows anything, Lucy finds two letters, one to his mother and one to his son, on the table in the living room, written in Frank's handwriting. As Kevin begins to question Ian, Lucy sneeks into the side room and finds Frank asleep and visibly physically stressed, in a coma-like state with the Chief looking on. Lucy calls Kevin and he immediately wants to get Frank to the hospital. Ian says they have given him some herbs, and Lucy figures out it is for time travel to 1973 (she's a little more psychic than I gave her credit for-I guess??) and they tell Kevin that if they awaken him now they are unsure what the effects will be. Frank is on a mission and can come back when he wishes to. With the convincing nature of Lucy, Kevin agrees to stay there to watch over Frank (how noble!) and if he has not woken up within 24 hours, he will go to the hospital. Ian agrees. The vigil begins.

Frank is still in 1973, however, when Cookie's dad found him in their basement, he tied him up and called the cops. Cookie comes down just in time (after the dad leaves) and Frank convinces her to untie him or cut the ropes. She does, and he immediately goes to the computer to do his thing to destroy it, and hears the police getting closer. He gets nervous and leaves. In the park he is dissapointed with himself for being so close and not doing what he set out to do, and realizes by him symptoms (flu-like) that he has stayed too long and may have to go back. He tries to remember Karen and their memories and his love for her, and struggles to get back to Cookie's to do what he needs to get her back.

On the next Port Charles, Michael the Priest tells Eve he wonders how she could marry someone she likes (she was possibly referring to her marriage proposal from Chris), when she has been with someone she loves (of course-cute Thornhart!), Kevin threatens to taken Frank to the hospital, as his time is almost up, and Frank tells Cookie he is from the year 2001 !
