Livvie confides in Alison about Jack’s strange and sexy behavior. Jack overhears Ali asking Livvie for the Wildman details but Livvie is off to school. When Detective Garcia and another police officer come into the bike shop/café for a cup of coffee, Jack gets sarcastic and nasty with them, egging them on. Then, when Alison tells Jack that she’s aware of his recent behavior, he proves himself by planting a very passionate kiss on her. Jamal and Zack walk in at that moment. Jamal yanks Jack off of Alison, calls him a dirtbag and punches him. Livvie walks in. Alison tries to tell Jamal it was all a big joke but Jamal threatens to kill Jack. Jamal and Alison leave Livvie and Jack alone. Jack tries to explain to Livvie but he can’t really justify his unusual behavior. Jack apologizes to Jamal, who won’t hear any of this. He has the race to think about and doesn’t need the additional stress of a buddy who is after his girl. Alison decides that she must stop Jamal from taking part in the race.
Karen regains consciousness after the surgery. Despite the pain, she resists taking any drugs. While she tries to brave it, Frank distracts her with a made up “story” that sounds remarkably similar to his time travel adventure. The story of the “prince” who would travel 1000 lifetimes to be with his true love moves Karen to tears. She tells him the story was so touching, it almost seemed real.
Joe urges Ian to go and find Eve. Ian realizes where Eve must be. He stops in to say goodbye to Arianna, who is suddenly a really good sport about all of this. Ian compliments her bravery and strength and thanks her for putting up with him as her husband. She gives him a photo of the two of them together and sends him off to find Eve. He has given her the gift of freedom, now she is giving him the same.
Eve walks in on Michael, working on the monastery. She tells him that she wants to stay and help him with his work; he immediately shoots down that idea. He tells Eve there are no lives for her to save there. She tells him that she always gets in trouble by plunging into things without thinking them through and that what she needs is to spend some time just thinking. She knows she cannot spend the rest of her life pining away for a man that she cannot have. She accuses Michael of wanting to get rid of her and he admits this. He tells Eve that he needs to work on this project alone, to prove something to himself and to God. She admits that she thought maybe he was afraid to be alone with her, since she’s (such an attractive) woman and he can’t have those. (Talk about being full of herself!). Michael, in turn, tells Eve she is just looking for the easy way out. In the end, she convinces him to let her stay a couple of days and get her thoughts together. He’s not very enthusiastic about this. When she goes off to burn them some dinner, Michael prays for Eve and her baby to be safe from evil and protected from violence …
Next time, Karen visits with Arianna; Ian looks for Eve at the cabin and Victor tells Serena about strange happenings in the woods.
