Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 12-Jun-2001

Ian and Eve return home from the woods happy and wanting to visit Arianna. As they enter her room and find her not there, Victor appears and tells them she is in a witness protection program and she insisted that Victor put her in the program before Ian and Eve returned. She wanted to start her new life, while allowing them to begin theirs. She left Ian and Eve a letter telling them she was grateful they gave her the gift of life and the gift of freedom, and she was off to begin anew. Ian removed his wedding ring and kissed Eve, though he was sad he never got to say goodbye. Ian and Eve went to the recovery room to greet their friends, and found Gabby, Joe, Karen and Frank there. As they begin to tell them of their adventures, Chris came in and offered to give them a toast, visibly sad that Eve has found the love of her life (and he knows it!).

Livvie, still distraught over the loss of Jack, tells Allison she feels someone has been following and watching her ever since Jack died (It's Michael-the Priests brother who apparently has a connection to Livvie....he knew her name and called her Olivia!) Jamal goes to his informant's place to tape record his conversation so that he can divulge info about Zack that Jamal can take to the police. When Jamal arrives, however, Zack has paid the informant off and he won't talk for Jamal. Discouraged, Jamal goes back to the bike shop and tells Livvie and Allison. Livvie makes a quick exit and goes hunting for Zack, with a knife. Jamal tells Allison he thinks they should go to the police. He is going to have to take his chances and hope they believe him because he feels he can't run from this anymore, and without another plan up his sleeve, he knows Chris and Kevin and Lucy have started digging into Jack's disappearance. He tells Allison he needs to do this for Jack's memory.

Chris has hired a private investigator to find Jack. All the P.I. has found out is that Jack raced in a bike race in Jamal's place, over the border and hasn't been seen since. Chris tells the P.I. he needs to find out what happened to his brother (seems he is waxing sentimental for family!)

On the next Port Charles...Lucy and Kevin find out about Ian and Eve's "blessed news".
