Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 20-Jun-2001

Have you ever heard the phrase "You don't know JACK!?" Well....we dont! Jack has turned into a paranormal (or...make that...paraABNORMAL! being). As Jamal, Allison, Livvie and Jack are talking about how Jack came back to life, got out of the grave they dug and buried him in and has not a scratch on him, (evidence of his fatal accident), Jamal tells Jack he has to have answers about the strange happenings surrounding the accident and the aftermath. Livvie and Allison are just grateful that Jack is alive, but both Jack and Jamal feel there are too many unanswered questions. Chris shows up at the bike shop to see his not-dead-anymore brother, and provokes Jack by making a wise crack about Livvie. Jack freaks out, grabs Chris around the throat, and lifts him a few feet off the ground and proceeds to choke him to death! (and I swear I saw Jack's eyes turn red! -Anybody watch the "Possession of Marlena on Days of Our Lives?") Jamal finally is able to pull Jack off Chris, and Chris runs from the bike shop telling Jack that even though he is alive, he will remain dead to him! This is VERY freaky! As Jack is cooling off outside, Caleb shows up (peeking around the corner) and says to himself that Jack made it back sooner than he thought he would). (Somethin's not quite right here.)

Caleb is outside the bike shop and Gabby runs into him. She asks Caleb if she knows him, thinking he looks familiar, and Caleb says she will know him ...and know him well! This is getting a little creepy-but interesting!

As final preparations for the Nurses Ball are in motion, Kevin tells Lucy that the hotel scheduled for the Nurses Ball has been flooded by a water main break, and Lucy begins to throw in the towel. Kevin tries to talk her into "the show must go on" and after some time, Lucy begins to get an IDEA! (SCARY!) She prepares to pull the troops together to put on a successful, yet hectic, Nurses Ball.

Joe and Gabby anxiously await Joe's final HIV test (results should be in soon). Joe receives a call from the small town clinic he and Gabby plan to move to and the clinic board want them both right away! Their plans are in motion for a new life.

Speaking of a new life....Ian and Eve embark on theirs together. Eve and Kevin's divorce is now final, with the final papers having been signed. Though Eve is sad about the situation, she and Ian are eager to get on with their lives, and decide that their appearance at the Nurses Ball will be their first outing as an officially engaged couple.

On the next Port Charles...a train wreck upsets the Nurses Ball and several Port Charles residents, including Karen and Serena, who were on their way back from New York to attend the ball.
