Port Charles Update for Friday, 29-Jun-2001

Eve enters the flower filled church holding a wedding gown as Ian lights the candles. He asks her if she is sure. She assures him that she’s never been more sure of anything in her life. Michael walks in, perplexed at first, then very pleased when they ask him to marry them there. He says that such a happy occasion is exactly what is needed, but that’s when we hear the spooky music start playing. Next we see Ian looking very nervous, standing with Father Michael. He’s so nervous he didn’t even bother to tuck in his shirt for his own wedding. Michael blesses Eve, Ian and their baby. Eve and Ian are grinning like little kids. During their vows, Eve tells Ian that he is her shelter, she finds comfort and refuge in his love. For now and for always. By now she’s crying openly and Ian’s having trouble holding it back himself. He vows to be the best husband, the best father and the best man that he can be. They start kissing quite passionately before Father Michael even gets to pronounce them man and wife. Eve and Ian return to the cabin, where he carries her over the threshold and informs her that he has bought the cabin as a gift to her. Thus begins their married life.

Livvie and Alison go searching for Caleb. Alison gets spooked and wants to leave the catacombs but Livvie pulls her on. They hear a noise. They hide and see a man walk by. Just as they are about to bash his head in, they realize it is Jamal. He berates Alison for putting herself in danger but Livvie takes the blame. When Jamal demands an explanation, Livvie tells him about how Caleb brought her there. He scolds her for being careless, telling her Caleb is a stalker and a nutcase (if only he knew what else Caleb was!). Then he starts lacing into her about Jack becoming undead and Livvie insists he was never dead at all. That’s when Livvie tells Jamal that the first time she became aware of Caleb was when they returned from burying Jack.

Chris is still trying to figure out what’s wrong with Jack and why Jack is behaving so strangely. When Chris tries to inject Jack with a sedative, Jack turns on him. First he nearly crushes Chris’ hand, then he injects the sedative into Chris, lifts him up by the neck and takes a good munch out of him. He’s still attacking Chris when Livvie, Jamal and Alison come in. The girls pull Jack off of Chris and Jamal checks to be sure that Chris is still alive, which he is. Jack is nearly crying over his lack of control and the way his friends are looking at him with fear. He runs out. When Livvie tries to follow, Jamal and Alison hold her back, warning her about his irrational behavior. She tells them that they abandoned him before in a hole in the woods, she is not going to abandon him again. While she goes off to find Jack, Jamal and Alison try unsuccessfully to revive Chris. Jamal discovers something shocking on Chris’ neck.

Jack, down by the water, is begging the powers that be to help him and make whatever is wrong just go away. Livvie approaches. He keeps trying to send her on his way, before he can do anything to harm her. She still does not believe he could possibly ever hurt her. Jack is very disturbed at having nearly murdered his own brother although Livvie insists Chris must have provoked him. When he finally convinces Livvie to leave, she trips, falls and hits her head. As she lays unconscious on the ground, Caleb approaches. “Leave her alone, she’s mine,” he says. Jack tries to scare Caleb off, telling Caleb that he has no idea who is and what he can do. That’s when Caleb tells Jack that it’s he who does not understand, but that he is about to … and that’s when Caleb opens his mouth to display THE FANGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next time on P.C., Joe wants to meet Gaby’s mystery man, Chris remembers that Jack bit him and Caleb informs Jack that as per destiny, Livvie will be his bride
