Port Charles Update for Monday, 2-Jul-2001

While wearing a very seductive black gown, Gabriela lights candles and erotically sprays her apartment with perfume. She is waiting for a visit from Caleb even though there has been no plans made for him to come over. There's a knock on the front door. Gabriela races to open it hoping to find Caleb, but Joe is standing there instead.

Alison & Jamal wake Chris up after his attack from his suddenly superhuman brother. Chris tells a stunned Jamal that Jack bit him on the neck!

In the woods, Jack asks Caleb if Jack is a vampire. Caleb tells a dubious Jack that he is a smart boy. Further, Caleb announces that Olivia is HIS destiny and will become his bride.

Joe tells Gabby that he is leaving for Appalachia and he wants to talk to her before going. He is worried about her change of behavior, but she is adamant about her feelings for her mystery man.

Chris is relieved to find that Jack's bite did not break the skin. Jamal asks Chris if Jack is some kind of science project. Chris warns Alison & Jamal that Jack could kill.

Caleb reminds Jack that he is a vampire. Jack still isn't convinced, so Caleb tells Jack a story about camping in the woods and about how easily he could be one, too. He fills in the blanks in Jack's memory about what happened when Livvie found Jack unconscious in the woods. Caleb said he was hungry and he was everywhere. Caleb went to kill Jack, but he decided to let him live because he was such a fighter. Jack now lives between two worlds, and he and Caleb are brothers in a sense. How else, Caleb questioned, could JAck be experiencing hightened awareness and all of the other feelings you have been feeling? Caleb tells Jack that he is halfway to becoming immortal and he welcomes Jack to the "family".

Chris leaves with a warning to Allie and Jamal that they cannot deal with Jack alone. Jamal tells Alison he has to go somewhere for an hour.

Gabby continues to gush about Caleb as Joe gets more hurt and frustrated by her words. Joe professes his love for her and plants a kiss on her.

Jack is still in denial. Caleb points out to Jack how much better he felt after the blood transfusion. Caleb talks about "harvesting" and Jack's impending first kill. Jack calls Caleb crazy, and Caleb says "if I were, could I do this?". Then he disappears. Alison shows up & spies Livvie unconscious from tripping and falling. Alison rouses Livvie and under her protest, gets her away from Jack. As they are leaving, Jack tells Alison to make sure Livvie is okay. Caleb reappears after the girls leave and asks Jack to join him.

Livvie protests as Alison leads her back to the car. They wish on stars, but ultimately Alison gets her wish - that they leave.

Jamal shows up at a New Age store and talks with the proprietor about Jack. Based on what Jamal says, the storekeeper informs Jamal that Jack is a vampire.

Gabby breaks off Joe's kiss, saying it's goodbye. She throws him out, scratching him. She looks entranced by his blood.

An insistent Livvie gets Alison to turn the car around to see about Jack.

Caleb tells Jack that he has always wanted a protege, but Jack protests. All Jack wants is Livvie. Caleb tells Jack Olivia is HIS or else. Caleb tells Jack that he made Jack, and he can destroy him!
