Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 11-Jul-2001

Life in Port Charles is full of surprises!
Surprise!
Eve brought home a stray....Michael the Priest. When she ran into him at the Recovery Room, he told her he was taking some "time off" to reflect and get some R&R. He didn't have a place to stay, so Eve politely offered him a room at her and
Ians. Even though he was reluctant, he accepted her generous offer. However...Michael does have an agenda, albeit a good one. He is there to protect Eve and Ian's baby from his evil brother Caleb. He makes a silent promise to Eve to do just that. Eve takes him home to a surprised Ian, who has planned a romantic dinner for 2, and is hesitant to have Michael there because of the threat of his brother. Ian is kind though, and tells Michael they would be happy to have him.
Michael gives Eve his family crest on a necklace, which superstitiously is to protect Eve and her baby. Ian instantly gets suspicious and wonders what it's protecting her from!

Surprise!
Lucy tells Kevin she has a surprise for him. He rushes to her place, where she has carefully laid out all the pieces to the puzzle of the strange happenings in Port Charles. She is trying to piece together what the tarot cards mean, and how these relate to her feelings that a stranger is going to harm Ian and Eve's baby. She tells Kevin about her visit with Madame Alecia. She and Kevin go through the wierd events that have been happening with several PC residents. Kevin agrees with her but is more concerned that Livvie seems to be in the middle of the wierd happenings.

Surprise!
Jamal brings Jack a new supply of fresh blood from the blood bank, which instantly changes his mood and demeanor. All better now, but when Livvie enters the room and Jack has his back turned with the remnants of his last "bag of blood", Jamal throws a blanket over her head to throw her off track, so Jack can hide the evidence. Livvie freaks, thinks Jamal and Jack are up to something, and as Allison enters the room, Jamal tries to tell the girls it was a joke, to which Allison replies "Jamal, she wasn't on fire or anything!" Jack takes Livvie with him to a retreat Jamal told him about. Jack tells her she will be safe, and he will take care of her. He takes her to Michael's church in the woods, where he thinks only Jamal knows where they are. Believe me...Caleb is watchin!
Jamal and Allison plan a romantic evening at home.
While Allison makes plans, Jamal searches out clues to keep the vampires away. When Allison sees what he's reading and jokes that she's going to take a bite out of his neck, he freaks!

On the next Port Charles...
Chris is furious with Gabby because she neglected her "blood watching" duties, Ian tells Eve his hunches about Michael's intentions, and Caleb surprises Jack at the church.
