Gabriella is very happy to see Jamal, still gushing with thanks for his assistance. Jamal finally breaks away from her and goes to call Lucy. Gaby follows him, and sneaks up from behind, about to sink her fangs into him. Jamal demands to know what she’s up to. She plays dumb but he’s getting a weird vibe from her and reminds her that although she’s nice and very pretty, he’s attached. Meanwhile, just yards away, Frank is asking Emilio about Gaby and her strange behavior. When Jamal leaves, Emilio walks in on Gaby and insists that she must come to see the family with him. She angrily attacks her brother, who responds by calling her a whore. Enraged, she bites him (hey! I thought Caleb said you can’t feed off your own family, but here’s Gaby with Emilio, and Jack did bite Chris). When Frank realizes Emilio is missing, Gabriella screams for help and when Frank and Jamal walk in, she pretends that she found her brother unconscious on the floor.
Eve jumps out of Michael’s arms and into Ian’s, once he makes his flower-laden entrance. She tells Ian about Caleb’s visit and how he hurt Michael. Ian glares at the good Father. When Eve leaves the room, Ian admits to Michael with no remorse that he checked up on his past and is aware that he came to the monastery to hide his brother. When Michael tries to assure Ian of his good intentions toward Eve, he is reminded in no uncertain terms that it’s not his place to protect Ian’s family. Ian tells Michael that he has to go. Now. When Eve rejoins them, Michael makes an excuse about leaving, but Ian comes out with the truth. Eve chases Michael into the hall to say goodbye. He tells her that her friendship means the world to him, but that it’s not meant to be. He makes her promise not to take off the necklace he gave her. When she returns to Ian, Eve concedes that he was right about Michael needing to be gone and tells him about her promise to Michael. Jealous Ian tells Eve that a family crest is given to someone when you ask them to be your wife, he tears the necklace off her and throws it into a heap of newspapers. Eve puts her hand to her neck, looking worried.
Kevin is relieved and happy to find Livvie safe, back at the lighthouse. Livvie pushes Kevin away when he tries to hug her. She announces that she is tired of everyone running her life and trying to control her. She angrily tells her father that the only reason she returned to his house is because Jack told her it was the safest thing to do and she trusts him. Kevin tries to justify his actions and Lucy intercedes on Livvie’s behalf. When Livvie and Jack talk alone, she wants to know why he keeps pushing her away. She doesn’t want to believe that Caleb is dangerous and is very upset when Jack says that he must destroy Caleb. She won’t agree to his warning not to leave the lighthouse. When she still fights him on this, he just comes right out and tells her Caleb is a vampire. She won’t hear any of this, and Jack’s face turns to anguish as she tells him how vile, sickening and disgusting the thought of that is, someone drinking human blood. Jack knows that he can’t tell her the truth about himself now. Meanwhile, Kevin is both furious at Livvie’s sarcasm and lack of trust of him, and worrying himself into quite a state, as Lucy surfs the web for vampire info. Lucy wants to know how Jack knows that Caleb is a vampire, why he suddenly has super strength and how he wasn’t injured by the bullet that hit him. Lucy is really trying hard to make an unreceptive Kevin see reason, and finally strikes a nerve when she says that maybe Caleb is what happened to Jack in the woods (same as Abe). Meanwhile, Livvie has thrown Jack out and they hear the door slamming. Kevin takes off running with Lucy close behind. Caleb is in the doorway of Livvie’s room and she is out on the patio. Jack is below, standing on the ground when Chris shoots him with the tranquilizer gun. He tries to strangle a perplexed Chris, who has given him enough drugs to knock out an elephant and utters a desperate “LIVVIE!” before finally passing out. Kevin bursts into Livvie’s empty room with an anguished “She’s gone!”
On Monday, Caleb welcomes Livvie to her new home (their home) and Chris welcomes Jack to his new home (a cage).
