Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 24-Jul-2001

Kevin demands the truth from Jamal. He and Alison come clean, admitting everything from the attack on Jack in the woods, to his “death” following the motorcycle accident to his bizarre behavior including the need to drink blood. Kevin calls Jack a monster and is terrified of Livvie being with him. Jamal and Ali assure Kevin that Jack would not hurt Livvie and would never feed off of her. They realize that Livvie is not with Jack, however, when they discover that Jack has left his stash of blood bags behind in his fridge. They go off in search of clues for Jack and Livvie’s whereabouts.

Caleb requests a week of time with Livvie for her to know what it’s like to be truly loved. When she turns him down in favor of Jack, he becomes angry with her, and tells her Jack means nothing to her. He apologizes for being rough with her but he doesn’t want to hear about Jack anymore. She doesn’t want to leave her family but he reminds/convinces her that they’ve let her down time and time again (why hasn’t she questioned why she must give up her family and life to be with him?). He tries to be convincing but she’s still unsure. He asks her what thing, no matter how unattainable, and she tells him that she’d like to have a normal family, one that always sticks together and is there for each other. Caleb tells her he can do anything and they can be the family they each want together. Suddenly, Rachel materializes. Livvie is delighted to see her “mother.”

Jack comes back to life and attacks Chris, who tries to beat him with a hammer. Chris locks Jack up again, disbelieving how he could be alive after having no pulse, and what’s with the fangs and the odd substance in his blood. Chris imagines that this could be quite profitable for him. Jack is still quite worried about Livvie. He starts not feeling well and tells Chris that he needs to feed. Chris makes a visit to the blood bank and takes some time off.

Chris gives Jack just enough blood to take the edge off. When Jack tells him it’s not enough, Chris says he can’t control him if he gives him enough blood to make him strong. Jack vows to make him pay.

Lucy arrives at the hospital and finds out from Marcella that Chris has taken a mysterious vacation and has visited the blood bank.

Jamal and Alison take Kevin to the catacombs. He is stunned that Caleb lives there. He finds Livvie’s clothes there and realizes with despair that Caleb has taken her.

Tomorrow, Kevin and Lucy figure out that Chris has Jack. Livvie embraces Rachel as Caleb looks on smugly – but is she real or a mirage.
