Port Charles Update for Friday, 27-Jul-2001

Gaby visits the adoption agency while Jamal and Alison look on, puzzled at her reason for being there. They know if they follow her long enough, she will lead them to Caleb and Livvie. Alison suspects that Gaby is trying to adopt a baby, to feed off of. Jamal sneaks inside to eavesdrop while Gaby reads the papers in her adoption file. She is stunned, “No, this can’t be” she says out loud. When she goes into the hall to find Alison there, she is furious, certain that Alison is following her around. Gabriella goes to attack Alison, with her fangs out. Jamal comes up behind her and tells Gaby if she lays a hand on Alison, he’s going to kill her. She turns, furious, to face him and lets him know that if he does that, he’s killing his own sister (I guess when she saw the name Woods on the papers, she just assumed Jamal is her brother since it’s such an uncommon last name, LOL).

Kevin has no leads on where Livvie might be, and it’s killing him that he can’t get to her. Ian and Eve arrive, looking for help with Emilio, explaining the similarities between what’s happening with him and what happened with Abe. Eve sees Lucy’s clue board and asks how they know Caleb. Kevin reverses the question and asks Eve how she knows him. She explains about him being Michael’s brother, and they all agree that Livvie is in danger if she is with Caleb but when Kevin says he is a vampire, Eve and Ian are not buying this. Kevin is angry and desperate to find his daughter. Lucy explains to Eve and Ian how she thinks their baby boy is in danger and recounts all of the odd happenings to date. It begins to make sense to Eve, but Ian still won’t see.

Jack returns to the church cellar, calling out to Livvie. He searches, finding the trunk with Olivia’s wedding gown and other keepsakes. He finds her portrait, with her name on it and realizes that Caleb is trying to replace her with Livvie. When he gives up on finding anything that will help lead him to Livvie, he starts to leave, but hears a noise and turns back. He comes to a door and manages to get it open. He wonders where he is – the room is full of portraits of women (Caleb’s discarded loves through the ages perhaps?) and what appears to be a glass coffin containing the wide-eyed, staring remains of the original Olivia.

Livvie wanders through Caleb’s house, searching for him, through a maze of chiffon sheets and candles. Caleb wants to know if she is ready to see the real him. She wants him to show himself but he tells her once she knows the truth, she can’t go back. He tells her it is time for them to join hearts, but wants to be sure she is ready to give up everything for him. He fades in and out, but Livvie asks him to come to her. He approaches from behind and as they kiss, we see them from above, spinning. He tells her it’s the moment they are to become one, and as he kisses her neck, she asks for more, more. He tells her she must see the real him, the one who loves her forever. He faces her, fangs out, and Livvie looks horrified. Her horror turns to confusion and curiosity as she asks what this means. He speaks of his powers, his ability to offer her eternal life and love, to start a family together. Does she still want him now that she knows the truth, he wants to know. Without hesitation, Livvie says yes. Caleb starts to pull away from her, but she offers him her neck, YIKES!!!

On Monday, Gaby turns on her new brother Jamal; while Jack wonders about Olivia’s/Livvie’s fate, Livvie invites Caleb to make her his.
