Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 1-Aug-2001

Livvie's wedding day is approaching. As she begins to write a letter to Jack, telling him she must be with Caleb, she is reminded of how many wonderful memories she has of him, and how much she loves him. When Caleb finds her, he erases the traces of the letter and her memories of writing it.

As the corpse of "Olivia" (Caleb's former love) is revealed in the monestary to Kevin, Lucy, Ian and Eve, Michael tells the 4 of Caleb's story and confirms that Caleb wishes to take Livvie as his wife and Eve and Ian's child as their own. Eve is horrified, as Ian angrily accuses Michael of using the situation to his advantage and protecting his brother more than those that are in danger. Eve tearfully confesses to Lucy that she doesn't know how to protect her child in the midst of this evil lurking about. Michael tells the 4 and Jack that he didn't tell all about Caleb to protect them, as Caleb has powers that they cannot contend with, and they would all be in danger. Michael explains his motives in giving the necklace to Eve to protect her and the baby from Caleb. Ian pulls Michael aside and presses him to confess that he (Michael) is in love with Eve. Ian tells Eve he wants to take her away from Port Charles to protect her and the baby. Eve tells him she won't argue with him. She knows he will protect her. Later, Michael prays for guidance to deal with the fact that he may very well be in love with Eve.

Jack assures Kevin he loves Livvie and will do anything to get her back safely. Kevin offers his "neck" to Jack so that they may develop strength in numbers. Lucy is aghast to hear this, and vows she will stop at nothing, but there is another way. Jack turns down Kevin's polite offer! and tells him he will fight Caleb for Livvie.

Gabby is her usual, mean self to Jamal and Allison, and they eventually tell Chris that there is more than just Jack in the vampire world. Chris helps Jamal and Allison capture Gabby and place her in the cage in Chris' experiment room, so that they can find Livvie without her hindering their efforts.

On the next Port Charles...Gabby appeals to Jamal's "brotherly love" to free her, and Jack stumbles to Allison's is need of a "fix" !
