Port Charles Update for Thursday, 2-Aug-2001

Locked behind bars,Gabby begs Chris and Jamal to let her out of the "Cage" so they can talk. She tries to appeal to Jamal's "brotherly" instincts. Jamal tells Gabby she is staying in the cage. Gabby tells Jamal about Caleb, and how she was "bit" by Caleb and how she didn't ask for the horror that she has been in. She really puts on the guilt trip. Gabby tells Jamal she can help him stop Caleb, as she knows all his secrets. When Jamal doesn't fall for it, Gabby gets mean and tells Jamal that after Caleb has his way with Jamal, she will dance on his grave, and makes serious threats on Allison. This angers Jamal and he leaves.

Allison hears horrible noises outside her door, and finds Jack collapsing at her doorstep. Allison gets whatever blood left for Jack so that he can get his strength back. Jack tells Allison he has been looking for Livvie, and knows she is with Caleb, but doesn't know where. Jack tells her he found the name of a place at the monestary, maybe it will lead them to her. Allison tells Jack that Gabby is Jamal's sister, and that Caleb bit Gabby, thereby turning her to the dark side as well. Gabby starts to "show a little cleavage", hoping that she can entice Chris to let her out. Chris bluntly rejects Gabby, and tells her he is only using her as his experiment. Gabby tells Chris he can have all the women, wealth and fame if he came over to their side! Jamal returns to find Allison and Jack and they begin to put pieces together, and figures out the place Caleb is holding Livvie is a wedding house.

Livvie's wedding day has arrived, and Caleb vows to make all her dreams come true. He leaves, and her mom, Rachel, appears. Rachel tells her she can't get married without her being there. Livvie and Rachel have a mother/daughter wedding talk. Livvie wonders about whether it's right to marry Caleb, but Rachel assures her that Caleb can give her the world, much more than Jack. Rachel tells her she believes Livvie knew she was right for Caleb from the moment she met him. Caleb is every woman's dream. Hmmm...
Rachel tells Livvie she will be happy forever with Caleb, as she tearfully views her in her wedding dress.

As Michael is praying for help from God, Caleb turns up and Michael demands to know where Livvie is. Caleb tells Michael he will never find her. Michael tells Caleb that Livvie's family found the shrine to his previous love, Olivia and that Michael finally gave her a proper burial. Caleb tells Michael he is marrying Livvie today and he wants him to be his best man. Michael tries to convince Caleb that Olivia can't be replaced with Livvie. Caleb tells Michael he brought Rachael (or rather Livvie's memories of Rachel) back to life. Caleb vows he and Livvie will take their vows and Livvie will never get away. Caleb tells Michael that after their wedding night tonight, Olivia dies and then will be reborn!

On the next Port Charles...Victor tells Kevin and Lucy a familiar story about another disappearing body, and Caleb tells Livvie that it is time for her to cross over to the "other side".
