Livvie is agonized by the news of Caleb's death. Michael, Ian and Eve came to the lighthouse to deliver the news that Caleb had been killed by Michael and Livvie no longer had to fear for her safety. However, they underestimated the fact that Livvie would be heartbroken. She had been turned down by Jack when she asked him to make her what he is (vampire, of course) so they could have a perfect life together filled with all the things that Caleb had promised her. Jack couldn't do that to her.
When she expressed her desire to have Caleb rescue her because she was so set on the passion and desire of this "spell" Caleb had on her, the trio showed up to deliver the news.
It was useless as Jack tried to comfort her. Livvie was furious with Michael for killing his brother, and her lover. After Livvie leaves the room, Jack questions Michael about his brother. Michael tells Jack that after Olivia's death, Caleb lived in seclusion with Michael, but everything changed after Caleb saw Livvie. Caleb resumed his impulses to return to his former life. Michael counsels Jack on not giving into all his desires as Caleb had, and searching his soul for the answers to living a different life than Caleb had. Jack tells Michael he is grateful for saving Livvie's life, through his killing of Caleb. He asks Michael to pray for Livvie. Michael secretly says he will pray for Livvie, and for Jack.
Ian and Eve get paged by a frantic Karen. Gabby was brought in by Frank, Chris, Jamal and Allison after she collapsed in Chris' care (he was experimenting on her, of course). Chris is shocked when he realizes that Karen knows about the vampire situation, and even more surprised (and one would think-somewhat dissapointed) that Ian and Eve know as well, as he is hoping to cash in on his experiments of the vampire type. Gabby starts to regain consciousness, and as Chris tells her they almost lost her, she says maybe they should have let her go. Karen, Ian and Eve are furious with Chris over the experimentation and his carelessness at letting Gabby get to the point she did. However, they all agree that they need to continue working with Chris to come up with an anticdote to cure Gabby and the others. They will keep tight security on Gabby and Emilio's rooms and not tell anyone about their "patients". However, Karen receives a call from Allen Quartermaine who wants to visit with the group. Gabby asks Jamal why he couldn't just let her die. Jamal tells Gabby that Allison is the one who is responsible for saving her. Jack calls Jamal and tells him that even though Caleb is dead, Livvie is still a danger because of her involvement with him. He tells Jamal that "now is the time". Livvie falls asleep, and is visited by the ghost of Caleb, who tells her his brother killed him and it's too late for them. He tells her that Michael will kill Livvie and Jack as well. Livvie wakes with a start, and sees Michael at the foot of her bed. She tells him that he has come to kill her, but Michael tells her he has come to kill what's left of Caleb, in her.
Kevin and Lucy hear the news that Caleb is dead, and make quick arrangements to return to Salem to be with Livvie. Although Lucy is dissapointed to leave, she is willing to go with Kevin. As Kevin goes to the lobby to make arrangements for the next flight out, Lucy is overcome by fumes in the hotel room. She tries to open the window and door and neither will open. The fumes finally cause her to pass out. Meanwhile, Kevin encounters a strange man in the lobby, who tells him he has information he and Lucy are looking for on Lucy's family, the Kovich's. As Kevin attempts to fight the man for answers, he is overcome with a sense that something is wrong with Lucy. He races up to their room but Lucy had been saved by a mysterious man who had kicked in the door and freed Lucy from the fumes. They both wonder who saved her. Kevin tells her he is even more convinced that they should leave immediately, but Lucy wants desperately to stay. Lucy receives a delivery of flowers, with a note (marked by Michael's family crest) that says that now is the time they must finally meet.
On the next Port Charles...Michael struggles with Livvie's memories of Caleb, and Jack tries to convince Jamal to kill him, in order to save Livvie.
