Karen runs from Chris in a panic, accusing him of intentionally injecting her with the vampire serum. She runs right into the arms of Alan Quartermaine, and passes out. As Alan attends to an unconscious Karen, Chris tries to explain his way out of what he did, Alan knows he was up to something. When Karen regains consciousness, she does her best to make Chris squirm but in the end, does not reveal that she’s been injected. As Alan leaves, he threatens Chris who then kisses up to Karen. He’s really excited that she’s going to feel all the great aspects of Vampirehood without the need to feed off of others.

When Livvie returns to the Lighthouse, Jack questions her about where she’s been, he knows she did not go to see Rachel. He knows she doesn’t remember but she tries to cover as we hear Caleb’s music. She tells Jack that she decided it would be too painful to see Rachel in her current condition again. He tells her that he understands that she never had a typical family, and he didn’t either, but that they can create that family together. They both light up over this prospect.

Livvie and Jack hear a crash, she screams and he goes out to investigate. He comes back saying it must have just been a branch. She gets tired and sends him home. As soon as he leaves, she hears the music again, and, recognizing what’s happening to her, shouts that she won’t follow him this time, but of course, she will.

Lucy sits in the Recovery Room, wondering why Rafe has not answered her telepathic page. As she ponders the existence of Evil in their lives, Ian walks in. Lucy approaches him and questions him about Eve. He shares that Eve is ok half the time, and the other half is sure something is stalking her. Ian insists that Caleb is gone and that’s behind them, but Lucy drags him out the door with her.

Rafe arrives at the Recovery Room just after Ian and Lucy leave. He tries to figure out where she might have gone, and has a vision of Lucy, running in the woods, picking up a stick to defend herself and falling prey to Caleb. He takes off running.

In the woods, Lucy tries to recreate the circle of purity. Ian’s having a hard time buying into this until he hears that she talked Kevin into doing it and he saw the evil himself. However, after several tries to invoke Evil and camera shots focusing on a certain shrubbery, no evil appears and Lucy and Ian decide it’s time to go home. They head off in separate directions.

Eve has discovered that Kevin has broken into her apartment and is looking through her things. She’s really angry with him. As he explains the story of Ann Marie and shows her the picture with the note on the back about Ian kidnapping her, Eve shows no sign of believing him. She tells him it’s all a bunch of lies and then throws Kevin out of her house. However, once he’s gone, she hears Ian’s voice in her head, telling her he has a past she doesn’t know about, and perhaps she starts to doubt him but at that moment, Ian bursts in with flowers.

Lucy returns to the site in the woods and tells Evil that she’s there alone like it wanted her and now it should show itself. She hears footsteps and we see something(one) moving in the shrubbery. She picks up the stick as in Rafe’s vision and screams “Oh my G-d, oh my G-d, it’s you!”

Tomorrow, Jack tells his friends that he’s going to propose to Livvie; Rafe lets Lucy have it but good and Caleb thanks Livvie for inviting her in (although I believe it’s Lucy he has to thank for that).
