IAN MEETS EVE IN THE PARK - DANIEL IS IN THE BUGGY.Ian hands Eve a slip of paper and tells her that it is the name of a nurse who worked with him and AnneMarie in Africa - she saw the accident and she was there when AnneMarie died. Eve asks if Ian had found that nurse, and Ian tells her that he is still looking. Eve mentions the 'threatening' call she received and Ian insists that he NEVER made any threats in a telephone call - that someone must have tampered with the message. 'Listen to what is in you heart,' Ian tells her.
MEANWHILE, KEVIN AND LUCY ARE AT THE LIGHTHOUSE. Lucy's opinion is that last night was a cosmic experience. Kevin says, 'For you, maybe, but while I was holiding you I just kept getting angrier and angrier.' Lucy asks why and Kevin says: 'You were right Lucy. Something out there IS jerking us all around. And it got to me. If it wants a fight, it will get one. I'm not going to let it screw with anyone I care about.'
OVER IN JACK'S ROOM , LIVVIE IS STILL IN BED. Jack leaves, closing the door gently. But Livvie hears the latch and calls for Jack. Then she hears Caleb's music and sees that Caleb is there beside her.
LIVVIE: 'I want Jack.'
CALEB: Why?
LIVVIE: 'Because he's going to help me.'
CALEB: Jack is not capable of helping himself. Come on. You don't belong here.
LIVVIE: I'm not going with you - not this time.
OPENING CREDITS
AT THE LIGHTHOUSE, KEVIN TELLS LUCY that he is going to track down AnneMarie and get the truth out of her.
LUCY: Let's go at this logically.
KEVIN: You're counseling me to be logical? NOW I KNOW there is an evil force out there!
Lucy shows Kevin that she has done some homework. Lucy has made a chart!!!!!!!! The chart has Eve-Ian-Livvie-Jack-Kevin-Lucy (Sorry, folks! ONLY the Octuplets!) Every one in town who helped us bring Caleb down & was on Caleb's hit list (Kevin proclaims, naively!) (Anyone else out there remember Emilio, Gabriela, Frank, Karen, Chris, Alison and Jamal? Well, they are NOT on the list! Is this a harbinger of what the next 2 months will be like?)
Still enthralled, Kevin proclaims: 'One thing we ALL have is common - ALL of our lives are falling apart!' (Don't you love such wide-eyes innocence?)
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE BIKE SHOP, (not to be outdone in the wide-eyes innocence department), JACK IS MAKING COFFEE FOR LIVVIE AND ALISON asks if she can help him. Jack tells Ali that he is making coffee for Livvie. ALI SAYS:' Livvie -- here?' (Ali has on a star-spangled sweatshirt!) Jack admits that Livvie spent the night and that Jack wants to help Livvie figure out what is going on. Ali observes that it IS hard to just walk away.
Jack says he watched Livvie sleep and she was so happy, peaceful and beautiful and the only thing he wanted to do was to figure what is going on with her. Then Jack says: 'Sometimes I wish Caleb was still alive!'
Ali rushes to say 'DON'T!'
But Jack finishes up: 'THEN we could fight him. This darkness over Livvie. How do you fight it when you don't understand it?'
MEANWHILE, BACK IN JACK'S ROOM, LIVVIE SAYS TO CALEB: 'Jack's been helping me.'
Caleb reminds Livvie of how much it hurts when Jack keeps walking out on her - and tells her that if Livvie keeps putting her faith in 'these people', it will just bring her more heartache. 'You're setting yourself up for heartache.Everyone around you has just tried to control you (as if Caleb isn't?) They locked you in your room like a child. Maybe next time they will throw away the key. Or have you committed like your mother! ' (Correction here, folks: RACHEL is NOT Livvie's mother. It is AUNTIE Rachel, who was the sister of Livvie's mother, Grace, who was the fiance of Livvie's Dad Kevin. Livvie's MOTHER is dead - Livvie's AUNT is locked up! Don't you just hate it when the writers do not even care enough about their OWN story to keep their cast of characters at least half-way straight?)
Livvie replies: 'All I want is Jack.'
So Caleb says: 'Fine, have him. But don't count on him being there forever - only I can give you that. But you'll never know!'
MEANWHILE, BACK IN THE PARK, IAN AND EVE TALK WHILE DANNY - IN THE BUGGY -CRIES. Eve says: 'I'm so confused' Eve says that Ian's eyes tell her that he loves her and Ian insists that what she is seeing really is what is there. Then Eve brings up AnneMarie and the way AnneMarie had said that Ian had once looked at AnneMarie like that and that AnneMarie had told Eve that Ian said he wanted AnneMarie - 'not just for one night but for always!'
Ian tells Eve he doesn't know where 'AnneMarie' got that. But Eve continues, 'how could she know? 'Eve admits that she is walking around with only one half of her heart and soul and the other half is with Ian. Ian reminds her of their previous lifetimes together (FINALLY SOMEONE remembered THAT!) 'We even have the same dreams," Ian says, 'Let's treasure this.'
Then Ian brings out the RESTRANING ORDER. and says: 'This is just a piece of paper. Only YOU can keep us apart!'
'How did we get to this point?' Eve asks, and tears up the restraining order.
BACK AT THE BIKE SHOP, ALISON ASKS JACK: 'How do we help her?' Jack concludes that they should talk to Kevin. Everyone who was on Caleb's hit list should talk to Kevin. 'Sort of like a Vampire Therapy Session?" Alison asks.
Alison gets a call and when she is finished, Jack asks about the call. After hedging for a few minutes, Alison tells Jack that she has asked one of her friends at FAMILY COURT to help her locate the people who adopted Valerie's baby - Hope.
Jack becomes upset and urges Ali to drop this -'Don't ruin what you have with Jamal because of what Livvie said. Let it go!'
MEANWHILE, RIGHT THERE IN JACK'S ROOM, LIVVIE SAYS TO CALEB: 'I had a good life before you!'
Caleb laughs and tells her that she had nothing - she had an illusion, a fairy tale she THOUGHT she SHOULD believe. Caleb reminds Livvie that her father locked her up, her mother lied to her (Her MOTHER is DEAD, Folks - her AUNT Rachel & Grandmother lied to her!) Jack thinks she is too psycho for him. 'Is that your definition of Unconditional Love?" Caleb asks. 'They will all leave you - and you'll be alone. It's called human nature!'
Caleb turns to leave: 'You made your choice, Oilivia. Now you can live with it! For the rest of your life, you'll miss me!'
Livvie says: 'No, Please, stay!
Caleb asks her, 'Why stay?'
Livvie answers: 'You'll get me. If you stay, you'll get me.'
Caleb says 'Prove you've learned your lesson' And Livvie gets a glassy stare and begins to recite Caleb's mantra: 'Human love is temporary..You're the one who has been there for me. I'm sorry I've taken so much time to get it right..Don't leave...Just trust me.'
Caleb and Livvie kiss.
Caleb says:' Don't ever do this again or I WILL leave. No one will ever love you the way I do.' They hug.
BACK AT THE BIKE SHOP, ALI TELLS JACK that she is TRYING to let go of her obsession with Valerie and her baby and Jack assures her -' you DO that, BEFORE it blows up in your face.'
Ali agrees, saying :'I can look at what is happening with you and Livvie to see how lucky I am.'
Jack agrees and reminds her: "You and Jamal have a good thing going.'
Ali says, 'Sorry to dump all of this on you,' &
Jack replies: 'What are friends for?' And they hug.
JACK AND ALI TAKE COFFEE TO Livvie IN JACK'S ROOM -but find that Livvie is gone and has left the door open. Jack finds their picture torn up on the bed and a letter that says: 'I've changed my mind. I don't want any help. I don't want anything from you.'
Jack throws the letter down in disgust and something flies over their heads & out the open door. 'Was it a bird,' Jack asks, 'Or --- a ----bat?'
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE LIGHT HOUSE, KEVIN AND LUCY go over Lucy's magical, mysterious chart on the board. They point out that, since Caleb was supposedly zotted, there was
LIVVIE's snake bite & the snake was found at the catacombs,
JACK'S surge of strength,
RAFE'S brush with evil right at the Lighthouse,
EVE freaking out because she thought someone was after Daniel,
IAN being accused by AnneMarie in a letter to
KEVIN of abducting AnneMarie & killing her husand. In fact, AnneMarie also showed up in Kevin's car and at Eve's house, and told each of them conflicting stories!
Kevin points out there should be one more card for
LUCY - who 'saw' Christina at the hotel. Lucy insists, that HAD to be real. But Kevin insists that Lucy seeing Christina was NOT real.
Breathlessly, Lucy announces, "Who ever is doing this is REALLY good because they KNOW what I want!' (Christina but NOT Serena?)
Kevin leaves to make coffee. The phone rings and Lucy gets it. A little girl's voice says: 'It's me.'
Lucy says 'Christina?'
The little girl says: 'I miss you, Mamm!'
(I don't usually gamble, but what do you want to bet it NEVER once crosses Caleb's mind to get Serena Baldwin mixed up in his little scheme to 'get' Lucy? After all, if Caleb IS so good he KNOWS just what Lucy wants - then surely that would INCLUDE Serena, whom Lucy adopted but has NOT seen since June! Oh, well, I digress again!)
MEANWHILE, BACK AT THE PARK IAN AND EVE decide to work together to get to the bottom of this mystery. They hug and decide to go home together. But when they turn to pick up Danny, Danny is NOT in his buggy.
We see Livvie carrying Danny away.
PREVIEWS FOR TOMORROW'S SHOW: At the LIGHTHOUSE, KEVIN is saying to LUCY: 'You've been targeted like the rest of us - ' But Lucy runs out to find Christina!
'She's reaching out to me. I've got to find her.' Lucy says.
At the PARK, IAN tells EVE to 'call 911 - get the cops - I'll look for him.'
Eve says 'Hurry' and Ian calls out:
'Daniel!'
Meanwhile, LIVVIE hides & watches Ian and Eve search for Daniel
