Lucy cries into the phone for Christina as Kevin comes in. He does his best to convince her that someone is playing tricks on her but Lucy won’t see reason and takes off to find Christina. Kevin takes off running after her. He follows her to the spot in the park where Christina was taken, as Lucy remembers that painful day and blames herself. She wonders if Christina thought Lucy abandoned her. Kevin explains how Lucy has been targeted like everyone else, and how Julie would never bring Christina back to Port Charles, but Lucy sees something and takes off running. She approaches a little girl, whose mother becomes possessive and suspicious. Lucy apologizes and sits down to ponder whether the universe is playing some colossal joke on her. She demands a sign and hears giggling. When she hears it the second time, she turns and sees Christina.
Jack freaks out over the bat flying in his room. Alison tries to convince him that he’s imagining that Caleb is still alive since that would be less painful than accepting that Livvie has left him of her own accord. They head to the Recovery Room, where Jamal and Valerie are having a private conversation (during which she has given him a picture of her baby girl). Alison has a daydream about working at the Recovery Room and seeing Jamal walk in with his “wife” Valerie and “daughter” Hope. Jamal brings Ali back to reality and she shares the news of Jack and Livvie’s breakup. Both seem more concerned for Jack than about Livvie’s puzzling behavior. When Alison invites Jack to dinner, she follows up with a kiss and he gets giggly over it – perhaps some attraction has been brewing here? Alison picks up Jamal’s wallet, finds the picture of Valerie’s baby and her suspicions are aroused yet again. She enlists Jack’s help to get to the truth, even though he has a bad feeling about all this.
Eve and Ian are in a panic after discovering Daniel missing. As Eve calls the police, Ian goes off searching for the baby, walking right past Livvie, hiding in the bushes with Daniel. When he returns to Eve without the baby, she panics that he is without his monitor. Ian suspects that AnnMarie, or the person impersonating her, is behind Daniel’s disappearance. While Ian continues to search, Eve goes home to await a possible ransom call. As she sits in the apartment blaming herself, a phone call comes. A woman tells her that she won’t let “him” do this again and that if Eve ever wants to see her son again, she should come alone and not tell anyone.
Ian returns to his room at the hotel and finds baby Daniel there. Ian scoops him up and swears he’s never letting him go again. Eve arrives at that moment, overjoyed to be reunited with her baby. The bellhop shows up with 2 plane tickets that Ian supposedly ordered – one for him and one for his son. Eve sees Daniel’s car seat and packed bag and realizes that Ian was going to take the baby from her and run away.
Tomorrow, Karen’s blood work troubles Chris, Eve accuses Ian and Kevin tries again to convince Lucy that she’s being played.
