Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 30-Oct-2001

They could have titled today's episode of PC-
"Torn both ways"!

Livvie finds Rafe in the park talking to...well, one can only suppose...God, or his household manager. Anyway-Livvie begins to tell Rafe her troubles. She tells him of her apparent blackouts, spaces of time she is unable to remember. And Rafe tries to help her and begins to tell her what's going on. Caleb appears and tells Rafe that Livvie will remember what he wants her to remember. And let the games begin!
Rafe tries to remind Livvie how much Jack loves her and how only human love trancends life and death. Caleb turns her away and reminds her how they will always have a "forever love" and that all those people she thinks are her friends and family in PC will eventually abandon her. As the struggle continues, Rafe disappears and beamed up to, well...you know. Caleb thinks it's all over and begins to kiss Livvie, and he disappears too, leaving Livvie very confused and alone.

Jack and Allison go to the home of the doctor and his wife who adopted Valerie's baby hope. They try to make up a story about why they are there, but after the doctor calls their bluff Allison levels with him. She tells him that she needs a DNA sample from hope to see if Jamal is the biological father. The parents tell Allison that Hope was born a month early and after comparing time lines, surmise that Jamal couldn't possibly be Hope's father. Allison is relieved and she and Jack leave. Behind closed doors the doctor and his wife hope that Allison or anyone else does not find out that Hope was not born early.

Jamal fills in for Frank at the bar so that Frank and Karen can take a little vacation and get some Recovery Room. Valerie is pretty happy Jamal will be there, and keeps talking about Hope this, and Hope that. Jamal tells her that alot has happened between then and now (translation Valerie: STAY AWAY FROM JAMAL!)

Karen is prepared to give Frank the vacation of his life (and judging by her recent behavior, he has a fun night ahead!). Before they leave, Chris runs into Karen at the Recovery Room and Karen tells Chris that as soon as she returns from her little vacation, that Chris is welcome to do all the tests and experiments he wants on her to find out what is making her tick and why this vampire serum is so great.

On the next Port Charles...Eve struggles with Ian over Daniel.
