Scene opens with LIVVIE IN HER ROOM AT THE LIGHTHOUSE.She is packing, I suppose to go spend some time with Lucy. She comes across a RED scarf, Caleb's music plays and Livvie remembers seeing Kevin & Lucy in the park. Livvie was Christina! Livvie realizes that SHE has been helping Caleb. (Caleb had told her a FRIEND would help him come back - now Livvie realizes that SHE was the friend Caleb was counting on bringing him back.
MEANWHILE, DOWNSTAIRS AT THE LIGHTHOUSE, EVE IS FRANTICALLY LOOKING FOR SOMETHING AND KEVIN is trying to calm her down. Eve is looking for 'Lovey' - Daniel's stuffed dog. See Eve find Lovey. See Eve cry. Kevin says 'now, now, it will be o.k.' and tries to comfort her. But Eve says" "NO! get your hands off me.'
Kevin says 'What Did I do?'
Eve says: 'Everything. This is all YOUR fault.'
MEANWHILE, OVER AT LUCY'S PLACE, IAN IS TELLING LUCY how upset he is about being separated from Daniel. Lucy is telling Ian that she understands what it is like to have a child taken from you. Ian responds by saying 'But people are saying I am a kidnapper or capable of cold blooded murder.'
Ian continues to throw back the drinks. And growls that he just might show them all what a bad-tempered Irishman can REALLY do!
MEANWHILE RAFE IS OUT IN THE PARK BY THE BRIDGE and is trying to understand why none of his efforts are actually helping the people of Port Charles. You hear JED'S voice telling Rafe that maybe Rafe's DESIRE for REVENGE is getting in the way of Rafe's efforts to help. Rafe pleads: "Whatever is holding me back, just show me!' And he is blinded by a bright light.
After the opening credits, we are STILL with Rafe in the Park. There are sounds and Rafe is remembering a night when he was watching CALEB with a GIRL in an alley.
The woman is saying to Caleb 'surprise me.' So Caleb bares his fangs and the woman screams. But, as Caleb advances toward his victim, he turns around because he has sensed Rafe is there. Rafe says 'Let her go. Prepare to meet your Unmaker!' Caleb and Rafe square off and & start battering on each other.
MEANWHILE, LUCY & IAN ARE STILL TALKING AT LUCY'S PLACE.Ian talks about running away with Danny. But Lucy urges Ian to get together with Eve and fight to keep Daniel. Ian says he is tired of fighting and just wants to vanish.
'What about Eve?' Lucy asks. Ian insists that he can't get through to Eve.
Lucy continues to try to reason with Ian.
'This whole thing is about lies. We're being manipulated by something evil.' Lucy says 'you can't hide the truth from me!'
And Ian says, 'What is the truth?'
That all of this is tearing his heart out, Lucy observes.
Meanwhile, back at the LIGHTHOUSE, EVE IS JUMPING ALL OVER KEVIN! Eve says;"Why couldn't you just stay out of it? Ian and I had a family, we trusted each other. Then you came along with your doubts.'
Kevin says 'I never wanted this to happen.'
Eve asks 'Why?'
Kevin replies 'Because I care.'
Eve responds by counting her troubles. 'My husband is gone. Anything is better than this'
Kevin reassures Eve that 'what I found out about Ian dropped in my lap and I could NOT ignore it!'
Eve sits down and says that the judge thinks she is unfit to take care of Danny. Kevin continues to reassure Eve that she is NOT crazy.
IN the meantime, LIVVIE has crept down the steps of the LIGHTHOUSE and listens as Kevin tries to calm Eve down.
Livvie asks herself, 'Why did I do this? Why did I help Caleb hurt my friends?'
Livvie remembers being the one who locked Eve out of her apartment & Livvie remembers morphing into AnneMarie to convince Kevin that Ian was dangerous.
'All those blackouts,' Livvie discovers, 'It was me!'
Eve is saying to Kevin 'What am I going to do,' & Kevin once again reassures Eve that she is NOT alone in her struggle to regain custody of Daniel.
All the while, Livvie is thinking 'Caleb made all of this happen. He USED me. Somehow Caleb got inside of me and used me.' Livvie leaves unnoticed from the front door. (I always wonder how it is that so many people can NOT see someone who is only two or three feet away from them - especially when it is coupled with people who can hear conversations being carried on 15 feet away &through a locked door!)
LIVVIE RUNS RIGHT OVER TO LUCY'S PLACE AND (Lucy TRULY believes they are being bombarded by an evil force but she STILL leaves her front door unlocked?) since Lucy has left the door unlocked, LIVVIE can hear LUCY & IAN talking!
Lucy is telling Ian that his love for Eve was his life going around in full circle. (Remember, Lucy, who is ABOUT to kick over the traces with Ian AND Ian BOTH believe in 'great eternal love' that lasts through 'centuries!' Or SO the writers claimed during the time travel stuff - now conveniently forgotten by EVERYONE - but ESPECIALLY forgotten by the MAJOR proponents of this timeless stuff - none other than LUCY & IAN!)
LIVVIE asks herself WHY would IAN be there with LUCY. Then Livvie remembers the day she locked Eve out of the apartment while Danny cried. Then Livvie remembers writing the letter to Kevin and altering the message on Eve's answering machine. Then Livvie remembers calling Lucy and impersonating Christina!
Meanwhile, back in the PARK, RAFE remembers trying to help CALEB's VICTIM on the night that Caleb KILLED Rafe! Caleb boasts to Rafe that Caleb killed all the other slayers who had come after him. And Rafe says that HE will be the last because this night will be the end of Caleb.
Rafe and Caleb mix it up, back and forth. The Russian woman is on the ground and Rafe yells something to her in Russian - probably 'RUN!' The woman say she can NOT run because of her ankle. Rafe goes over to help her and while Rafe is distracted, trying to help the woman run away, Caleb zots Rafe from behind.
RAFE is suddenly back in the PRESENT1. Now he remembers, Rafe puzzles out for himself. Caleb won because I was distracted. 'I have to remember NOT to let Caleb district me,' Rafe mutters to himself.
BACK AT THE LIGHTHOUSE, KEVIN IS SAYING TO EVE: 'You're not being punished over something you did.'
Eve: 'The judge said I was NOT fit to raise my child.'
Kevin responds by telling Eve that all the Judge said was that Eve needed to have an evaluation and that KEVIN can help Eve make it through the evaluation, because Kevin will know WHAT the court-appointed psychiatrist will be looking to see. Kevin vows to help Eve with her evaluation, 'Even if it means LYING to the court's shrink!'
Meanwhile LUCY AND IAN ARE STILL AT HER PLACE -and Lucy is asking Ian what it will teach Danny if IAN just runs away. 'You are NOT a coward,' Lucy emphasizes to Ian.
Lucy says 'It isn't over till the fat lady sees the whites of their eyes. - I guess we have a sort of cliche' thing happening here!'
Ian responds: 'It's not a cliche if you believe it.' And Ian thanks Lucy for her help in convincing him to stay & fight for Daniel's sake.
Lucy says that she is glad Ian decided to stay because Lucy would miss him.
Ian says, 'I Love you, Lucy.'
And Lucy returns 'I love you, Ian.'
They hug and start with a peck on the cheek. Then the kiss gets steamier (eeeeewwwww! Gross!) Ian leaves.(So much for that great-eternal-love-time-travel stuff! My BIG question here is that if Scott was the Great Eternal Chocolate Eclair and Kevin was the Great Eternal Strawberry Tart - what kind of dessert does Lucy think Ian will be?)
Meanwhile, LIVVIE GOES STORMING OVER TO THE CATACOMBS TO JERK CALEB'S CHAIN FOR A WHILE. 'Show yourself, you coward,' Livvie demands. Caleb appears and asks Livvie why she is there if Caleb had NOT sent for her. Livvie says to Caleb - 'You MADE ME hurt the people I loved. I swear to you, I'll KILL you!'
PREVIEWS - ALISON AND JACK are saying that they think there may be something more to the adoption of Valerie's baby than meets the eys.
FRANK & KAREN ARE MAKING OUT AT THE CABIN AND CHRIS IS WATCHING THEM FROM OUTSIDE. (No doubt, he has one of those Miracle Ears where he can ALSO hear EVERY word they are saying!)
LIVVIE AT THE CATACOMBS IS SAYING TO CALEB: 'I WILL make you pay!'
*HISTORICAL NOTE: For those who have forgotten, or never knew: Lucy and SCOTT DID get married and Lucy DID adopt SERENA. Lucy's friend Dominique had been diagnosed with cancer but wanted her husband, Scott, to have a child with her. So, Scott & Dom went through InVitro Fertilization and Dom's fertilized egg was implanted in Lucy's womb, so Lucy DID give birth to Serena but Dom did NOT live to see Serena born. Lucy & Scott were married in spring of 2000, then broke up shortly after Julie took off with JULIE'S child - Christina. Even though Lucy and Scott were divorcing, Scott went ahead with plans to have Lucy officially adopt Serena. So, after years of scheming to BE in Serena's life - Lucy FINALLY got what she SAID she ALWAYS wanted - to be SERENA's mother!!! So it is a little hard to take Lucy getting all hyper over the missing Christina when we KNOW that the LAST time anyone even mentioned SERENA's name was June 22, 2001. And SERENA lives right there in town WITH Lucy!
