At the Recovery Room, Eve enjoys the ecstasy of her reunion with Daniel. Ian and Lucy watch her from across the room. Ian comes over and asks to hold Daniel. He finds out that Mac arranged for Kevin to be the guardian. Kevin, Lucy, Ian and Eve all agree to keep it a secret that Kevin is guardian of Daniel. Ian tells Kevin that he is going to come and visit his son. Lucy gets mad at Kevin. He wouldn't help her find Christina, but he's doing everything to help Eve with Daniel. Lucy and Kevin exchange angry words. Ian sticks up for Lucy. Eve and Kevin go "home."

Jamal goes to visit Hope's adoptive parents. When he says that he's a friend of Valerie's, the woman says she has nothing to say to him or Valerie and starts to shut the door in his face. He goes inside and tells Mrs. Hartman that Valerie is upset that she can't see her daughter. Mrs. Hartman tells Jamal how Alison and Jack were there. Alison wanted to test Hope's DNA to see if it matched Jamal's. Jamal is astounded at this. Hope comes in. Mrs. Hartman asks Jamal to leave. Jamal sees the birthmark behind Hope's right ear and comments on it.

Outside the Recovery Room, Rafe helps Alison pick up the files she dropped. She tells him that they are results of a test which will show if Jamal fathered a child. Rafe tells Alison that maybe she is better off not knowing. Rafe convinces Alison that reading the results of the test would be a mistake. She could never undo the memory. Jamal comes along as Alison is ripping up the envelope that the results are in. He opens it up and finds out that he is Hope's father.

Livvie is in the catacombs, feeling terrible that she was responsible for all the trouble going on in Port Charles. After she has flashbacks of talking with Caleb about how she unwillingly participated in planting seeds of doubt into happy couples' relationships, she opens her eyes to find Caleb is there with her. Livvie tells Caleb that she realizes that she has always loved him. Caleb says that she is saying things that he has always wanted to hear but he knows that she is lying. Livvie insists that she knows that mortal love isn't real. How could he have doubted that she would choose him? Caleb has a test for Livvie. It's the same one as before: kill Jack. She calls Jack and says she has to see him.

Kevin, Eve and Daniel are bonding at the lighthouse. Eve thanks Kevin for everything. As Kevin is stroking Eve's hair, we see Lucy watching from behind. She turns to leave. We hear her say under her breath: "and to think I was going to apologize...well, to hell with you." Eve tells Kevin that when she saw Ian at the Recovery Room, she felt sorry for him. The sad look on his face was real.

Ian waits outside Lucy's. Her invitations have arrived. She tells Ian that they are for a Christmas party that she and Kevin were going to get married at. She starts to rip up the invitations and says that Kevin doesn't want her. Lucy and Ian hug each other and as they pull away, they feel awkward. He starts to leave. Lucy says he doesn't have to leave. He replies that he's not going anywhere. He starts to caress her hair. They kiss each other passionately.
