Port Charles Update for Thursday, 15-Nov-2001

Chris’ description of Karen’s life alone as a half-human, half-vampire has her so upset that she breaks things off with Frank. Just as he was beginning to believe the story of her being injected with the vampire serum, she tells him that it was just a lie and that she’s really back on drugs and will be entering rehab. Frank insists that although he’ll respect her wishes to be left alone for now, that as soon as she’s out and clean, he’ll be back for her. After he leaves, she breaks down crying and in walks Chris. He tells her that for now, she is welcome to stay at his place and gives her a key. “See you at home!” he tells her, as she walks out, dejectedly. Chris can’t believe how his luck keeps getting better and better. That’s about to change. He turns around and sees a very shocking sight.
Eve and Ian move into their old apartment together, to try to convince the therapist that they have worked out their relationship issues. She lets them know that although they are heading in the right direction, they cannot have Daniel back right away but she will arrange for a supervised visit. When she leaves, Ian insists they must keep up the charade (he’s experienced with pretend marriages) and Eve insists that nothing between them has changed. She’s obviously very uncomfortable with the arrangement, but it seems to suit Ian fine. He even asks her if she likes having him around, and she refuses to answer the question but when she catches a glimpse of him undressing and again when she walks in on him falling asleep, she’s looking with longing. He opens his eyes and sees her, and calls out her name with a smile.
Lucy arrives at the Lighthouse, looking to talk alone with Kevin. Livvie pretends to give them their privacy, but instead she listens from the stairs. Lucy reminds Kevin of how they worked together to try to get Daniel back with his parents, and that she just doesn’t understand his lack of support and sensitivity about how she feels about Christina. She questions whether they have a future together, which really shakes Kevin up. He insists that he loves her and will not let her go without a fight, but Lucy tells him this just isnt’ enough. She still loves him, but feels the distance between them just growing. When they kiss, the evil music starts and the baby begins crying. When things calm down, Kevin encourages Lucy to talk to him about Christina, but she decides to leave instead. Livvie, who has seen this whole encounter, thinks her father and Lucy are coming back together and begs Caleb for help and guidance.
Back at home, when Lucy opens the door from inside, she is stunned to see Christina standing there.
At the lighthouse, the private investigator that Kevin hired to track Ian arrives with a special treat – photos of Ian and Lucy’s romp in the sack.
Tomorrow, Caleb and Chris chat, Eve admits her true feelings to Ian and just when Lucy needs Kevin the most, he’s looking at nudie pics of her and Ian.
