Kevin and Ian can't find Jack in the ER. They find Alison, who is with Jamal, and ask her if she knows where Jack is. She says no. When Jamal walks away, she says to herself that she knows where Jack probably is. Ian tells Lucy how Jack disappeared after Kevin came in and threw his weight around. Ian says that he and Lucy have a special friendship. He feels that he and Eve are getting closer. Lucy is glad, especially for Daniel's sake. Lucy encourages Ian to have a life with Eve filled with love. Ian says he's glad that Lucy is in his life. When Ian leaves, Lucy takes out her tarot cards. She hopes she doesn't see the Stranger card. Instead, she turns over the Grim Reaper.

Alison finds Jack in the woods. He is having flashbacks of being in the catacombs with Rafe. He tells Alison about opening the silver box. It was like looking at death. It felt like all the evil in the world was rushing through his body. Alison tells him that he's ok now. He encourages her to leave. He says to himself that it's always going to be with him. Jack goes home and spreads out vampire magazines on his bed.

Outside the Recovery Room, Livvie drops papers. Valerie helps her pick them up. After Livvie goes off, Valerie finds a couple of papers left behind. She reads the DNA results of Jamal and Hope. She sees that Jamal is Hope's father and goes inside. Livvie comes back with a smug look on her face. She says "it's all coming together, Caleb. One step at a time." Inside, Valerie confronts Jamal about the test results. He says he has known for a while, but he knew before he saw the test results. He shows her his birthmark. Valerie recognizes it as the same one that Hope has. Jamal tells Valerie that he went to see Hope at the Hartmans' house. He decided that Hope would be happy with the Hartmans. Valerie pleads with Jamal to ask the Hartmans if she can see Hope. She also wants Jamal not to tell Alison anything they've discussed. Alison comes in and kisses Jamal, while Valerie watches sadly.

Eve is at home with Daniel. As she picks up the phone to call Ian, she finds a picture of him and Lucy. Ian answers, but Eve hangs up. Kevin arrives. Eve tries to hide the picture, but Kevin sees it. Eve asks him how they could do it. Kevin lets Eve know that it was he who hired the photographer. He was having Ian followed. Kevin thought he destroyed all the photos. He doesn't understand where this one came from. Eve doesn't care. She had thought that Ian had betrayed her in every way possible. She says that he won't get away with it. She wants to know the truth. She suggests a truth serum, but Kevin says that could be dangerous. Eve realizes that she'll have to continue to live with Ian for Daniel's sake. She'll have to pretend that she knows nothing. Kevin has to bring Daniel back to the lighthouse. Eve talks to the photo. She calls Ian a bastard and asks if accusations about him are true. Eve goes to General Hospital and takes some sodium pentathol from a medicine closet. Ian sees her before she leaves and asks if she wants to go to dinner. She agrees to keep up appearances. Eve says they are in for an amazing evening.

At the lighthouse, Kevin watches Daniel sleep. He looks over at a photo of himself with Lucy. He says that they had some great times together. The ominous wind, accompanied by a loud whistle, goes through the house. Kevin looks out the window and comments that there's not a cloud in the sky. He looks on the floor and finds the Stranger card.

Lucy goes to the catacombs, calling out for Caleb. She is angry and she says that she knows what he's doing. From behind her, there is applause. She turns around and finds James there. He says that she looks like she's seen a ghost.
