Frank questions Gaby about Karen’s disappearance. They know that she’s not in the rehab facility. Frank assumes the worst, that she skipped rehab to get high.

Chris is shocked by something in Karen’s blood work. She’s fatigued, achy and hungry. When she finally convinces Chris to show her the lab results, she insists they must belong to someone else. No, she is not pregnant like I assumed, but apparently her internal systems are aging rapidly and her organs are all failing. Realizing that she’s dying, Karen angrily lashes, blaming Chris. He seems genuinely remorseful and promises he’ll take care of her and find an antidote. She flings herself into Chris’ welcoming arms, which is where Frank and Gaby find her when they walk in. Apparently, Gaby saw that Chris had also put in for a leave and they put two and two together. When Frank demands the truth, Karen fabricates a new story – that Chris helped her through her recent drug use, saved her life and now she’s in love with him. They kiss unconvincingly. Frank and Gaby refuse to believe this but when Karen sticks to the story, Gaby tells her they deserve one another. Chris comforts Karen as Gaby tries to be there for Frank.

Ian embraces Eve, who has the syringe behind her back. Ian grabs her arm and pulls the needle into full view. Apparently hospital security called him with the news that Eve had taken a bottle of sodium pentathol from the dispensary. He is furious. She insists it was the only way to get the truth for herself and Danny. Ian still insists that he’s always been honest with her over everything. Eve questions why, then, he never told her that he slept with Lucy. She can’t accept that he cheated on her. He under-reacts, she over-reacts. Eve just can’t trust him; Ian reminds her that if she’d ever trusted him in the first place, none of this would be happening. Ian realizes that things have gone too far, it’s over and they don’t belong together anymore. When he asks if Eve agrees, she avoids the question and asks what they do next. They must continue the charade of the happy marriage in order to get their baby back from social services.

Caleb and Livvie, holding Lucy’s crossbow, taunt the slayer. It slowly dawns on Lucy that Livvie and Caleb are working together. They tell her how they’ve torn apart everyone in Port Charles, and Caleb turns Livvie into Christina before Lucy’s eyes. Livvie and Caleb argue over which of them should get to kill Lucy. In the end, Livvie convinces Caleb to let her do it. He leaves and Lucy momentarily thinks Livvie was faking her allegiance to Caleb but Livvie makes it quite clear to Lucy that she intends to go through with shooting her. As Lucy begs, Livvie shoots.

Livvie returns to Caleb’s lair with the bloodstained arrow and the news that Lucy is dead. Caleb appreciatively samples the Kovich blood. He thanks Livvie and begins to show his appreciation.

Meanwhile, Rafe searches for Lucy and comes across a shocking scene.

Tomorrow, Jack tells Kevin his plan to bring down Caleb with Lucy’s help. Caleb reminds Livvie that something is missing (Danny?).
