Ian approaches Victor, shows him Ed’s picture and questions whether Victor ever knew him. Victor tells Ian that if Ed were involved in the witness protection program, he’d never have shared the information that he did with Ian and Kevin. Victor tries to come up with logical explanations as to why a dead guy pretended to run a witness protection program and Ian recalls of his suspicions about Amy, and wonders how it is that Ed showed up just as he made his suspicions known. Victor reminds Ian that homing devices are not used in the program, the watches were not made of any known earthly material and that if Amy was truly in such a program, he and Kevin would not have been able to trace information on her the way that they did. Victor tells Ian this can’t be anything but a scam.
Lucy, Kevin and Paige have arrived at her ancestral home with the portrait. Paige has feelings of déjà vu and then of sadness as she realizes her life is truly behind her. Kevin comforts her. Lucy examines the family records as Kevin hangs the portrait. Paige finds she doesn’t feel any more complete. Lucy notices that one portrait is missing and decides that this ancestor must have done something terrible and scandalous that made the family take her portrait down. Lucy shows Kevin the woman’s name in the family scroll.
Alison and Rafe wake in the stable. He feels badly that her parents hurt her by not showing up. She decides to take him to the one person who’s always been there for her. She brings him to the Barrington attic to see the portrait of her ancestor, Rebecca. Alison searches frantically for the portrait, reminiscing of her conversations with Rebecca (pretty weird how real it seemed to her). Rafe finally finds the velvet-draped painting. Once Alison uncovers it, a shocked Rafe can only mutter “Oh my G-d” repeatedly. When we finally get a look at the painting, we can see why. Rebecca is almost a body double of Paige.
Amy gets a package, or as she calls it “sweet revenge in a box.” Inside is a deadly spider, who will meet with Ian at a later date. She puts it in her locker. Meanwhile, Ian has been looking for her and comes into the on-call room as Amy is in the shower. He calls in to her that he has to talk to her NOW. When he gets no response, he tells her he is coming in. He sees the water running, sees it turning off, the shower door opening and footprints being made on the bathmat but no person. Suddenly Amy materializes out of thin air!
On Monday, Rafe accuses the portrait of coming to take Alison; Paige expresses her desire to meet Alison and Amy knocks Ian out.
