As “Secrets” wraps up:

Kevin sadly realizes he’ll never see Paige again and never got the chance to say goodbye when she suddenly appears with the news of how Rafe stole Alison and the meaning of her journey. Lucy wishes Paige to find her peace and Paige asks Christina to take good care of her family. Lucy leaves Kevin and Paige alone for their goodbyes. Kevin promises to tell Alison all about Paige and how sorry she was not to meet her. He reminds Paige of her other legacy, helping to foster his bond with Christina. They share a tender goodbye and a kiss, and he promises that he will see her again. As Kevin is near tears over Paige not finding what she was looking for, Christina offers the comforting words of “Don’t cry, Daddy.”

As Ricky screams to Casey to save herself, she remembers the key around her neck. She finds it fits the lock and is able to help free Ricky and save Jamal. Casey tells Ricky it’s time for her to go, but he pleads with her to stay and tells her that he loves her. She tells him that although falling in love was not what she was looking for, it’s been the most awesome high she’s ever known. She takes the chain with the key off and puts it around his neck. She bids him a tender goodbye and in a flash of lightening, she’s gone. Jamal comes to and asks Ricky what happened. He tells Jamal that Casey saved them, but that’s not what Jamal means. The scars on Ricky’s face are gone; he has healed in an instant. Ricky looks to the sky and finally believes.

Alison demands to know what she and Rafe are running from. He finally tells her that he thinks another angel has come to take her back. Alison tells him if it’s true, then there’s no use in running. She reminds him of how little time they have left; she doesn’t want to waste it running. He tells her that when an angel loves you, nothing can hurt you (was this comment meant for her or himself?). They embrace, then a flash of lightening. It’s time for him to go, but Alison isn’t ready yet. She cries and pleads for more time. Rafe tries to calm her with the promise he’ll always be with her, but he can’t stop her tears. He vows his love for her, smiles and vanishes, leaving Alison heartbroken, crying out his name.

Amy prepares a toast for herself and Ian, pouring the spider venom into his glass of wine. After she toasts to the man who made her journey so meaningful, Ian makes a heartfelt toast of his own. As scenes of their time together play, he speaks of their closeness, of the special place she has in her heart, how he’s forever changed for having known her, and loves her for it. He speaks of her as a woman of beauty, courage, and passion. She can’t stand it any longer and knocks the glass out of his hand. As she cries, she admits to poisoning his drink and confesses her true identity and purpose on earth. She tells him as hard as she tried, she just couldn’t do it because she loves him. He is amazed that she is Harris’ daughter, that someone so evil could create something as loving as she is. He tells her that inside of her beats the heart of a true angel. Suddenly, his face comes into view for her. She can see! After a few happy moments together, Amy tells her that she’s found her peace and it’s time for her to go. As the lightening comes for her, Ian bids her “Goodbye, friend.”

Alison, still devastated over the loss of Rafe, runs along the railroad tracks, begging him to come back to her. She slips and falls, then hears the train approaching. She realizes that Rafe was right; she is going to die today. Suddenly, Paige grabs her and they tumble down a ravine. At the bottom, Alison (just as alive as Lucy, Kevin and Ian when we last saw them) sits up, looks Paige in the face and says, “Oh my G-d, it’s you.” Paige realizes now what her purpose was and having fulfilled it, the last angel vanishes.

As the 4 now departed angels gather around the table, Rafe thanks Paige. They realize none of them brought a resident of Port Charles with them. As they ponder this, thunder claps and Ed announces, “We’ve been waiting for you,” as the newest angel comes to fill the 5th chair. Looks like GH will be looking for a new Chief Resident again.

On the first episode of “Superstition,” Alison tells the portrait of Rebecca about their meeting on the train tracks, Ian’s friends gather around him and Rafe tells Eve that he’ll help her.
