Ricky, having a burger at the Recovery Room, tries to accept that Casey is gone. Enter Karen and Frank, who are amazed to see that the scars on Ricky’s face have miraculously healed. Ricky tells Frank that Casey split and Frank immediately becomes suspicious. He sees Casey’s key around Ricky’s neck and knows she’d never have given it away or left without taking any of her possessions. He grabs Ricky and demands answers. Frank doesn’t buy Ricky’s explanation that he just doesn’t know why she left or where she went. Then, Ricky thinks he sees Casey looking in the window again and goes outside, calling desperately to her. Frank pins Ricky up against the wall but Karen pleads his case, telling Frank that it’s obvious if Ricky knew where Casey was, he would be with her. Ricky assures Frank he would never do anything to hurt Casey. Frank and Karen make their way home, leaving Ricky alone with his grief.
Livvie, wondering where Jack is, examines the candle. She sees the word “Trouble” carved in the bottom, throws it in the trash and then retrieves it. She calls Jamal and tells him she’s concerned about Alison, thinks she’s in over her head. She leaves to see him, and the candle rolls. Livvie arrives at the bike shop with an envelope of articles on Alison’s family (fast work, Livvie!). She tells Jamal about Rebecca, the candle, the fight and the Trouble. Jamal’s not buying into this. She compares the situation to what happened with Caleb, when no one paid attention to the signs until it was too late. Jamal can’t believe that she wants to play witch hunt but he grudgingly agrees to help her. As they sort through the articles, they discover the Barrington family goes back to English royalty. They find an article about Rebecca with a photo. Livvie is stunned at the resemblance to Paige (Why??? She saw the portrait in the Barrington attic and didn’t notice?!?!). She says she knows Paige and Alison are related (How? Even Alison doesn’t know yet). They discover that Rebecca was born in Port Charles, suspected of being a witch and causing someone’s death, and that she was hanged.
Ali and Jack find all of Rebecca’s possessions in the stable, of all places. When Alison (who is way too excited over this stuff) uncovers Rebecca’s portrait, Jack is stunned. He tells Alison about Paige. She realizes it must have been Paige who saved her from the train and thinks that Rebecca, and not Rafe, sent her. Jack finds an old camera, complete with film. He takes Alison’s picture and she gives him the camera. He tells her it’s time to say good bye to Rafe. Alone in the stable, she tells Rafe she’s trying to be strong, but the ache in her heart is stronger. She recalls the vows they made to each other and begs to know why he left without saying goodbye like he promised to. She feels like no one is trying to understand what she’s going through or help her deal with it. She feels completely alone. Then she hears a voice, telling her that she’s not alone, she’s never been alone. First thinking she’s hearing things that aren’t there, Alison turns to the portrait. Rebecca steps out.
On Monday, Ian lashes out at Lucy as the power of the candle sucks him in; Livvie has something unflattering to say and Alison receives a warm family embrace.
