Alison fails to make Rebecca step out of the portrait in Jamal's presence, but Rebecca does descend from the painting as soon as he leaves. As Jamal watches from outside, Alison probes Rebecca about her intentions. To Jamal, it appears that Alison is talking to herself. Rebecca admits that Alison must relive Rebecca's life in order to finally allow her to rest in peace. Rebecca gives Alison a candle to keep with her at all times, but warns her to never light it. Jamal tosses the candle into the woods upon his return, and cautions Alison to stop talking to portraits if she wants to save herself. Livvie plants Kevin's sweater in Alison's car trunk, and Mac and Ian discover the bloodied item. Meanwhile, James tempts Rafe with evidence of Alison's crumbling life.
