Port Charles Update for Monday, 17-Jun-2002

As Rafe tries to recite his wedding vows to Livvie, he has fleeting memories of the first time he recited them. He stops the ceremony, but it resumes when Livvie convinces him they had exchanged vows in a private ceremony before.

Alison reacts with disbelief to Kate's announcement that Kevin's remains had been found on the grounds of the Barrington estate. Kate advises her client that in light of the discovery, she must change to her plead to not guilty due to insanity. Alison refuses and flees the Recovery Room. After she leaves, Kate finds the necklace that Jack had discarded. Who does this belong to, she wonders.

Lucy returns home with Ian to discover, to her delight, that the portrait of Rebecca has been restored - the slash marks are gone. Confident of Kevin's imminent return, she puts on the dress that she was wearing when he proposed, puts on his favorite music and orders dinner from the French restaurant he likes.

Kevin desperately tries to figure a way to communicate with Lucy - to let her know that she has to find and light the missing candle to bring him home. He claps his hands, and a tablet and pencil appear. Kevin starts writing.

When Lucy's doorbell rings, instead of Kevin it's his father Victor. He gently breaks the news that Kevin's remains - ashes - were found in a makeshift grave on the Barrington estate. Lucy doesn't accept that he is dead: "I talked to him!" When she looks to Ian for confirmation, he expresses doubt. Lucy runs screaming from the room.

A bitter Alison goes to the barn and vents her feelings of betrayal to Rebecca: "I trusted you, I told you all my secrets since I was a little girl." Was this all a setup, she wonders, for Rebecca to use Alison free herself? While the camera lingers on the pivotal candle sitting in the corner, Alison picks up a gas can and starts to pour gas on the barn floor. "I hope you burn in hell" she vows to Rebecca. As she prepares to light a match, Lucy bursts in and stops her.

Rafe and Livvie return to the cabin. After he carries her over the threshhold, they consumate their marriage.
