Port Charles Update for Tuesday, 13-Aug-2002

Port Charles; Tuesday August 13, 2002.

Kate and Ian meet on the elevator – he’s heading home. Kate praises Ian for his work against “Lancelot”. The elevator gets stuck between floors, and Kate panics as she is claustrophobic. Ian talks Kate through her panic by describing an idyllic, wide open place, where she and he are dancing. Slowly they do begin to dance on the elevator. Ian thanks her for the dance, and they come very close to kissing as he lays her head on his shoulder. They both admit that it’s been a while since they danced. When the elevator is fixed, Ian realizes that Danny is still at the park.

Lucy and Kevin are relaxing at home, when Serena brings Christina in dressed as “Lancelot”. Kevin is not amused, and warns the children to choose their heroes wisely. When the kids are off to bed, Kevin admits that he is worried about Livvie, as she seems drawn to the dark side, and is married to Rafe, “The Slayer”. Lucy feels that Rafe will keep Livvie safe, but Kevin wonders if Livvie was attracted to Rafe because of his connection to evil.

Rafe is cruising the internet on his laptop. Livvie remembers Frank/The Avatar saying that Rafe feels only obligation towards her. Livvie lies that she had a dream about Rafe vanquishing the Avatar and saving her.
However in her dream he was wounded in the chest, and only her kisses could heal him. As she continues describing her dream, they both become excited. As they kiss, Livvie leads Rafe into the bedroom, and they make love. Livvie tells Rafe she is worried that he will be hurt, or worse, if he pursues the Avatar. When Rafe leaves for a glass of water, Livvie gloats that Alison’s hold on Rafe is over. But when Rafe falls asleep, he dreams only of Alison. Rafe awakens abruptly and calls Ian, asking him to meet at the park – he knows that the Avatar has Alison. Meanwhile, Livvie has a dream of happily returning home from the hospital with the baby, certain of Rafe’s emotional commitment.

Frank offers to drive Alison and Danny home, but she refuses. Frank’s shadow morphs into the Avatar as they leave. The Avatar stalks Alison, and when she asks what he wants, he replies that he wants her to do as she is told. Rafe races to the park to find Alison and Danny cornered on a cliff by the Avatar.
