Port Charles; Friday August 16, 2002

In the park, Chris continues throwing money into the air, saying it is a reward from Lancelot to the hard working people of Port Charles. He tells Marissa it's all about peace, life, liberty – until Ian grabs him and throws him to the ground. Marissa takes notes as Ian tells Chris about Lancelot’s evil side, and Chris says maybe it’s Ian that is the evil one. Marissa chases after Jamal, and tells Jamal that she's hung up on him, but he’s afraid to like her. Jamal apologizes and they kiss. Meanwhile, Ricky and Karen are having a tiff, as she accuses him of being jealous of her good feelings towards Lancelot. He denies it, and in fact suggests they go to the park. When they arrive, Ricky spies Marissa and Jamal kissing, while Karen looks for the Avatar. The police stop Chris from throwing the money, as it’s illegal gains, and they arrest Chris when he refuses to stop. Karen feels the Avatar is close, and he appears, asking her to come with him. Ricky rushes up as a bolt of lightning strikes, but Karen is gone!

Rafe tries to put together the pieces of his memory. He feels there must be an answer somewhere, but can only think that his purpose is to raise his child with Livvie. He also rationalizes that if he has a child on the way, he can’t be an angel; an angel would not be alive, and could not make life. He says he must concentrate on fighting evil, forget Alison and make the town safe for his child.

Livvie finds Frank and asks him why he keeps testing her. He says her marriage is meaningless, and that Rafe is using precious energy saving Alison. She accuses him of torturing her because he lost his love – Karen. Morphing into the Avatar, he tells her he’ll remind her of just who he is! She’s backed into a cave crying “It’s not your baby!” as Ian, Jack and Alison come upon her. Rafe hears Ian yelling, and takes Livvie into his arms. Jack asks Livvie why she was screaming to the Avatar that it’s not his child.

Kevin, at home with Lucy, tells her about his conversation with Livvie. Lucy tells Kevin that Rafe doesn’t know what he believes in anymore, after their chat. Lucy reminds Kevin of Rafe’s special powers, and that although she too wants Livvie to be happy, she can’t make Rafe love her.
