Port Charles Update for Wednesday, 21-Aug-2002

Jamal visits Marissa, who has just been hired as a star reporter for the paper, and after a little chat, they make love.

Ricky tries to comfort Karen after her kidnapping by ‘Lancelot’, but she is not worried at all. When Ricky and Karen make love, Karen finds herself thinking of ‘Lancelot’ instead of Ricky. After, Karen lies to Ricky that she is doing an extra shift, and leaves. Karen goes to Eve’s grave to sort out her growing amorous feelings towards ‘Lancelot’. As she thinks out loud, Ian arrives. Ricky tries to throw away a photo and other mementos of Casey and he together, but he can’t stop thinking about her, and retrieves the memory box from the garbage.

Rafe tells Ian he needs to find the Avatar’s shroud as that is it’s protection and where it gets it’s powers. Ian remembers that Alison mentioned that she couldn’t think clearly while cloaked in the shroud. They realize that the Avatar’s ties to the town are very strong, and surmise the tie may be a woman. Meanwhile, Livvie is frightened when Frank creeps up on her, asking her if his/The Avatar’s message finally got through. She asks him to leave her alone, but he reminds her that her baby is his, and that his job is to get rid of evil people. He tells her she must spy on Rafe and help him with information on any new plans. Livvie realizes that Frank/The Avatar is staying in Port Charles because of Karen. When she taunts him about Karen being with Ricky, he seizes her arm angrily, just as Rafe walks on to the scene.
