Friday August 30 - Port Charles

Karen and Frank are kissing when Ricky begins pounding on the door. To his dismay, Frank opens the door, and nastily tells Ricky that he and Karen are back together. When Ricky attacks Frank, Frank easily pins Ricky to the wall, saying that he’s made a big mistake, as he’s not dealing with the ‘old’ Frank. Karen breaks in and asks Frank to leave so that she can explain to Ricky. She apologizes, but confirms that she and Frank are back together, despite or because of their history and his new attitude. Ricky tells Karen she’s turning into an abused woman, unable to walk away from Frank., and can’t understand why she’d go back to Frank, who is clearly ‘nuts’. Ricky kidnaps Karen to prevent her from returning to Frank.

Livvie and Rafe discuss their close call the night before in the fire. Livvie asks Rafe if he meant it when he said he loved her, and is ecstatic when he says yes. Livvie gloats that all is going her way. Rafe excuses himself to speak with Ian, who’s come in with Danny, and they talk about Ian’s friend who may have more information on the Avatar. Frank spies them cooing over Danny, and vows revenge on Livvie for setting the fire. Ian bumps into Frank and tells them he knows they suspected him of being the Avatar, but since he’s there and the Avatar is dead, obviously he is not him. Livvie is shocked that Frank is alive.

Kevin and Lucy are at the hospital. Kevin is checking Livvie’s medical records for an answer to her recent behavior, but some of the charts are missing. Nurse Summer finally tells him that Livvie blackmailed her to conceal the truth about the baby’s father. Kevin realizes that Livvie has lied about everything – including about Rafe being the father.

Lucy is pleased when Alison arrives. Alison is concerned that they are not dealing with the fate of Rafe and Livvie’s baby. Lucy worries that Rafe’s soul will be forever damned if he doesn’t remember, and fall back in love, with Alison. They wonder how God could let Rafe and Livvie’s marriage and child be torn apart. Alison remembers the heaavenly note saying “a soul without love is a lost soul’, and prays in the chapel for another sign to help her decide what to do about Rafe.
