Port Charles Update for Monday, 9-Sep-2002

Rafe and Ali-
Rafe professed to Ali that there is something between them but of course he had to ignore it because of his responsibility to his child and Livvie. If it were not for them, then he would explore his feelings for Ali. Ali made mention that what if the baby was not his and he was very upset over this. Ali told him she respected the fact that he would live up to his responsibility and then told him she would not give up on him because she loves him and she always has.
They embraced only to have Livvie open the door at the end of the show to witness the embrace.

Livvie and Avatar/Kevin and Lucy:
Livvie and Avatar watch as Kevin (as Ryan) tries to strangle Lucy. Livvie begs him to help and he blows the door open and throws "Kevin" across the room knocking him out. Lucy asks him not to hurt Kevin because he is sick.

Meanwhile Livvie ran away to the park so as not to witness the event. Frank met up with her at the park and told her to choose between saving her Dad and being with Rafe. Livvie reasoned with herself that even if she did come forward there was nothing she could do for Kevin. Frank told her she figured she would only think of herself and warned her that if she ever tried to cross her again, she would live to regret it. He wanted the image of her father trying to kill Lucy burned into her memory to relive day after day.

After Avatar knocked Kevin out, he tied him up and Victor came over. Ryan accused Victor of being a bad parent. yadda yadda. Victor said a woman on Jasime Island was attacked and the assailant fit Kevin's description. Victor thought they should call the cops or get Kevin to a mental hospital. But Lucy said if she could not bring Kevin back, no one could.

Ian and Kate:
Ian opens the door to Kates apartment surprised to find that Brennan is a man in a coma. Kate confesses that they were supposed to meet for a celebration and he work kept her away until 2am and when she arrived home, he lay on the floor from a heart attack. He has been in a coma for two years and no doctor has been able to help him sine. (personally, I never heard of coma's from heart attacks, but I am not a doctor).

Ian convinces Kate not to blame herself and go through this alone and to let him help her. She collapses crying in his arms.
