Port Charles Update for Friday, 20-Sep-2002

Lucy went to see her husband, Kevin, at the insane asyulum which he's currently locked up in after his daughter, Livie injected him with a drug. (she did it cover her web of deception that was being unraveled) This drug drove Kevin into some sort of psycosis, believing he is his (dead) brother, Ryan, who was a serial killer. Lucy was remindng Kevin/Ryan of his family and their love, showing pictures trying to make him come to the realization that he is not Ryan, that he is in "there" somewhere... for a brief second, he had a glimmer of recognition, and then it was gone.
Karen confided in Ean that his suspisions were correct about Frank being the Avitar and that he was after Chris because of a slight struggle and Karen falling on her wrist. When the Avitar showed up, Chris rallied for host of the spirit, which enraged his and even though Karen tried to stop Frank, she couldn't reach him. When Karen found Ian, she explained and they had to stop Frank before something bad happened. They did find Chris, in the elevator but he had already had his run in with the Avitar. He was badly beaten and not breathing. After Ean and Karen finally revived Chris, Karen went find Frank. Karen tried to reach the "old" Frank and tried to get him to give up the spirit of the vigiliante gone wrong. She posed the question to him of who he would choose if she were to ask him which was more important, the Avitar or her? Frank turned away, telling her to please not ask that question.
Alison found Rafe waiting for her at the barn, their place. He confided that he fell in love with her, even though he didn't remember the past. As they embraced and he went with his feelings, his memory clicked and it all came flooding back to him. He remembered their vows, their love and he realized that Livie had been filling him with what she wanted him to think. Rafe apologized to Alison for what he must have put her through, she assured that none of that mattered now. As they were holding one another, a shot rang out and Livie stood there with a gun. Rafe fell, bleeding from a wound to the middle of the back.
In the previews for Monday, Ali was going to leave to call for help but Rafe told her to just stay there with him instead.
