It's been quite a while since I've done one of these - let's see if I remember how (doubtful, since I am gonna write this update from memory).
Okay -
It was slayer against vampire Friday, yet again, when Rafe and Caleb faced off for what must be the three-thousandth time. Rafe accused Caleb of setting him and Aly up and rigging the sibling act, Caleb of course denied such charges and wondered how he could orchestrate such a thing even if he wanted to. At a lost for answers, Rafe decided it was taunting time instead and, having proven Caleb wasn't the only vanishing act in town, showed Caleb a few short scenes of Livvie seducing Rickie, killing Caleb - all the good highlights. Caleb insisted he was unfazed by it all, though he looked pretty fazed, and after Rafe reappeared Caleb had a show of his own to - well - show.
Rafe watched in horror as Caleb - in his vision - kissed Alison and then killed her. Caleb made his point and then to prove just how serious he was about all of this told Rafe it was his time to die and snapped his neck and then to add insult to permanent injury - spit on Rafe lying all still on the ground. Gee I am oh so worried that Rafe is really dead - well actually I'm not although I suppose the writers think I should be worried.
Moving on - next we have the saga of newly-vampirized Ian and the woman that he loves - which would be Lucy in case you've been asleep for the past arc or so. There's Lucy, dressed in lingerie and offering herself to Ian - both as a lover and as a potential vampire-ee. Ian is taking a nibble on the fine Ms. Coe when up he awakens and there is Lucy. Somehow they are both at the Recovery Room. Ian does his best to make Lucy go away, but Lucy is being as tenacious with him as she is being cavalier about Kevin (sorry - tried not to be catty but the cat came out anyway.) Ian even kisses Lucy in an effort to get rid of her (I suppose there is sense in that somewhere - probably in bandaid land) but oh no Lucy won't go. Finally Lucy coaxes the truth - and the fangs - out of Ian.
Meanwhile at the docks, Doc and Tess are having a little conversation of their own. Tess explains that although she had Livvie both went into the water, only one (Tess) came out, but not to worry as Livvie wasn't dead, she wasn't home, she was here - Tess points to her heart, and I am protecting her. For some reason, this explanation doesn't ease Kevin's mind, in fact it just makes him angry. So angry in fact, that Tess tries her little healing trick with Kevin, hand on his heart. She tells him there is good in Livvie and good in him, and that all he has to do is just close his eyes and feel. Kevin almost gives in to the healing power, but pushes her away and orders her never to touch him again.
Kevin believes Tess had something to do with Livvie's disappearance and becomes angrier at Tess's denials, when Tess reaches out to him again, Kevin pushes her away - right back into the water. Kevin leans over the dock and yells Tess a couple of times.
Stay tuned Monday to find Jack asking Kevin where Tess is, and Aly asking her mother if she is a vampire.
