Just a quick update so the end of Surrender will be remembered forever -

Let's see, what happened today?

Kevin did his darndest to brick Ian into that wall and little things like reason and decency and sacred Irish songs were not about to stand in his way. As Kevin whittled on his stake and prattled on about home improvement and saving Lucy from herself, Ian decided it was time to reach out and touch Kevin - so eyes a shinin' and fangs a flashin' he went through the wall and grabbed Kevin by the throat. Kevin thought he was a goner, but in the end Ian simply went gone, leaving Kevin a jellylike substance on the floor.

So do you think our Kevy has learned a valuable lesson here?

Nah...

Reese and Caz had opposite reactions about being devampirized, Reese slapped Aly hard in return for the fang-pruning. Caz on the other hand hugged all concerned and even shared a little prayer with Casey and Jamal proving he was worth of being dubbed "the traitor" as Joshua so dubbed him. Jack took Reese home cause gosh darn it all, he likes her and we all know what great taste Jack has in women....I wonder if he's ever thought about those mail-order bride deals.

Caleb realized something was very wrong in his world and after Livvie - oops sorry, Olivia - begged him to stay and then begged him to take her with him, Caleb decided to face his two nemesis once and for all (don't we all wish) and left his ring so that Livvie would be all protected.

Lucy fretted over Ian's no-show-ism but still was ready to do battle with Rafe, Rafe did his best to out-quip Caleb and then tried his best to out-fight him and when all that failed, Lucy jumped into the fray. Lucy started the five notes a'going as Caleb clearly got the upper hand but Rafe rallied enough to push Caleb into the spring - but oops - he sent Lucy along with him. Oh no, Lucy and Caleb both in the water. What if they twirl and twirl and then become one??

No worries, Lucy came out wet but whole and Caleb came out wet and unvampirized and more threats were exchanged and then Joshua decided the king was dead and long live the new king as he pushed the explosion button and.........
