Rafe and Alison’s place [a/k/a the Church of Alisonology]

Rafe is [in a crazy parallel to Livvie] arranging a romantic setting for when Alison gets home. He keeps up a running monolog of recapping all his decisions-made-in-Hell: he is here to love Allie, not to fight vampires, and so on.

He lights candles, fluff pillows and has soft music [sexy elevator music] playing.

Finally, he wonders aloud: where are you, Alison?

[Across town, Livvie wonders aloud: Where are you, Caleb? I wished for this to be the most passionate night of your life and you’re not even here! You’re nowhere to be found – please come home - I guess she must have set the Ring down – or is getting a busy signal on it –as he does not appear [and wow! If he’d been zapped from where he is and what he is doing – wouldn’t that make for some over PG-14 TV?!]

We hear a knocking noise [so does Livvie] She hops up and goes to the door and opens it – thinking it is Caleb [she says his name] – but it is Jack [a/k/a Bull]

Livvie says she is worried about Caleb – he has been out all night and he has never done that before – Bull says don’t worry – he’ll be all right and do you remember how you said we don’t have to be angry with each other?

Livvie says that this was supposed to be the most memorable night of Caleb’s life – and turns and looks at the ring – which she was actually holding after all. Those she is fondling it and wondering “what could be keeping him” I don’t think she gets the picture that we now do – that of Caleb and Alison making love on the straw in the barn.

Alison says she doesn’t know why this is happening – she has to stop. She wonders why she can’t stop [But she can’t stop making love or stop talking]

Caleb also doesn’t know why he can’t stop? She can’t stop? - Creepy music plays as they continue to make love. And we go to the credits.

[At the nurses’ desk on the 6th floor at GH, Lucy is asking Colleen if she has seen Ian] Lucy explains that she is looking for Ian, and has left many messages, but can’t find him. She turns and does find him – hugs him and asks him where he has been and what has he been doing – as part of their team, she should be kept in the loop.

Ian explains that he came to GH to curb his hunger …

Lucy stutters out: you came to the blood --- to the [blood bank] you came here to get blood from here? [She looks all hurt that he didn’t take it from her and what is wrong with this picture? Ugh]

Yes, he admits shamefaced.

She presses – why – if he needed to stop his cravings – did he not just get her and come home with her [cause a guy likes take out over a home-cooked meal now and then?]

He tells her that he is sorry – but he can’t use her as a crutch anymore.

She asks if this means she can’t be his love anymore.

[Back at Livvie’s – Bull tells her how beautiful she looks while she says that she can sense something is wrong – she always knows – and what did Bull just say?

He says he thinks he said that she looks beautiful and this is even crazier [he thinks] he gives her the rose [he got in the previous show] and explains it’s for her – as he realized he was being a jerk and bought it for her ….

Livvie – who, remember, is the person who made the wish that Bull not hate he anymore – wants to know what he is really doing there.

He tells her that he doesn’t know – but he kind of wishes that things were like the way they used to be between them. He then is stunned at what he just said and says he can’t believe he just said it.

Bull turns from her repeating to himself: no I don’t want that! No I don’t want that, in order that Livvie can have a flashback to YESTERDAY’s show, in which she made her wish that he not hate her anymore.

[Now, have we all got that? Don’t worry if you don’t – I feel sure that we are going to see it again.]

Bull now says he doesn’t understand what he is doing or saying – but she can throw him out – she says she understands perfectly [thank goodness – at least we can wait till TOMORROW to see the flashback of the wish again]

He tells her the rose is for her and he will be leaving – she stops him and asks him what does he think she should do about Caleb?

He tells her that he is not one to give advice on relationships – but she plows on, telling him [again, in case we were not listening to her before] that Caleb has never spent the night out – and he hasn’t called and she is starting to worry ….

Bull asks her pointblank – what did you do? He then realizes that he does not want to know/get involved, but she answers him… telling him that she took Caleb’s ring!

Bull wants to know how did she manage it? She tells him that she slipped it off him when they were ‘busy’ [even WAY more than he wanted to know, I bet] and that she made a wish and that’s why she is worried.

He wants to know what she wished for – she assures him that it was ‘not bad’. He tells her again, not to worry – Caleb can take care of himself. But she admits to him that it’s not WHERE Caleb is so much as WHO he might be with that has her worried.

And now we get WAY more than I ever wished to see of Caleb and Alison making Love in the Barn – strategic parts of their bodies covered with straw and close ups shots blocking bits out – but still too much – there is a song playing, but your recapper is sorry, she is NOT going to impede the ‘ffwd’ button in order to capture the words for you. It’s plenty bad at this speed. [ABC takes PC out in an explosion of the same bad taste that thought DV ‘rape/seducing’ of Lucy was romantic by having TWO people coerced into unwanted sex.]

[Commercials –thank you!]

[Back at GH, Ian and Lucy are talking about their situation. Lucy is listing the reasons that this love story is stupid: She is a slayer, he is a vampire – they should have been repelled by each other – despite all the rules in the universe, and they fell in love. [Hey – she really said it all, except the ‘stupid’ part]

She points out that she makes him better because of who she is and she can take care of his symptoms when they make love and – Ian interrupts [thank you, Ian] He tells her that he is grateful for that, but it doesn’t change WHAT he is.

She asks him if he is going to steal every test tube in the hospital, lock himself in a dungeon with his serum, and stay there all by himself? He says yes, that’s about it.

[Back at Livvie’s, she is telling Bull to calm down – while he is wondering if she wished for him to fall back in love with her. She says of course not – does not mention The Wish She Did Make – and says she is only worried because Caleb is not home.]

Bull supposes that Caleb is out doing vampire stuff [which is REALLY weird, as no one in PC seems to do vampire stuff at all, anymore]

She tells Bull that is NOT what she is worried about – she’s worried that he might be with another woman.

Bull tells her that he does not like Caleb, but that anyone can see that Caleb is crazy in love with her – he catches himself just as he is about to sit down on the couch next to Livvie – Bull realizes that [a] he was actually trying to make her feel better and [b] he DOESN’T hate her!

She tells him that she doesn’t exactly hate him that night, either.

That’s enough for Bull – “bye’ he says and head for the door – she stops him, saying ‘no, no, don’t go.”

He tries – really – he only came to apologize – give her the rose – he is not going to fall back into this trap – no! No!

Livvie gives him the puppy dog eyes and asks him to please please keep her company for a little little while?

“No way,” he says [on his way over to the couch, “I’m not going to do this” Livvie shoves the ‘look’ up another notch on the plead-o-meter. “I’m going to leave” [he’s closer] “I’m going to leave” [he’s at the couch] “I’m going.” He sits by her. He looked at her with a ‘deer caught in the headlights’ look on his face and she scoots close to him and leans on him.

He still looks like he can’t believe this is happening, but puts one stiff, reluctant arm about her as she gets more comfortable on his shoulder. He leans rigidly back on the couch and we cut to ……

Rafe, who has no one to cuddle up with, and is humping out of his chair – realizing that ‘something is not right’ [it only took all night for dawn – on more than one level]

[In the Barn – Alison awakes in the morning light filtered through the wood slats of the barn [and that place must be like a shower during a rainstorm!] And she looks around – she has been lying on Caleb’s nekkid chest – and she slips [carefully] out of camera range to slip her clothes on.

She is shocked, but not shocked enough to not talk – she goes on about how she can’t believe she did this to Rafe and wasn’t herself – but it must be the ring, they finally decide – though Alison thinks that their being together is Livvie’s worst nightmare – Caleb shows so compassion, wondering if she is OK. Alison gets a tad nasty telling him that she is NOT OK – that she just had sex – with him [the tone she uses is like: you worm] in her and Rafe’s ‘sacred place’ – she is shocked revolted and stunned, but not dumb. She rants that she doesn’t know how the hell she is going to explain it when she can’t even understand herself. Caleb has the answer: don’t tell.

She asks him: “Are you saying that you would NOT rub this in Rafe’s face the first chance you get? Can you promise me that!?” [And if he did, she would believe his promise because he’s so honest???]

[Commercials]

Caleb tells her that he understands why she can’t trust him – but that it is as bad for him as it is for her. She asks [for both of us] why is that?

He tells her that Livvie orchestrated ‘this’ and how does she think that makes him feel? She agrees that it had to be Livvie [I thought we figured this out before the commercial break] and Caleb adds that Livvie used his own ring against him. He says that’s why he’d like to keep it as quiet as she does [but I really do not follow his logic – he allowed Livvie to keep the ring and make all the wishes she wanted to in order to test her loyalty]

They now talk about whether or not she is going to tell Rafe and whether it would do more harm than good and so on and so on. [I only know that if she goes back and tells him that it pretty much ruins this plot device cooked up for this last few weeks and would rather they just have her clam up quickly without the debate over whether she will or won’t. My forecast: She won’t tell, but she won’t tell him with about a million words about why she won’t]

She then tells him that they were not control of themselves and must find a way to make Rafe see that. For now, she must go – she leaves.

Caleb says [after she is gone] “Speak for yourself, sweetheart – I never lose control” and then he spits on the oh!-so-sweet! carving on the beam. [Really. Spits.]

[back at GH, where we now see that Lucy and Ian have spent the night standing in the couch area of the 6th floor [really] Ian explains that he wants ‘this’ over. Lucy argues that this means he wants to stop living their lives - he argues that he is fighting for their lives together – she says they have it all – he says they WILL Have it all once he gets his life back together.

Lucy then tells him that they have to cherish what precious moments they have together – she wants them to fight this together [I really, really can’t see Lucy wanting him to stay around the kids while he’s having so much trouble with his urges] they hug and part after he tells her that this is the way it has to be [no woman on PC has a brain of her own other than Imani, do they?] He leaves.

[Alison arrives home – calls out to Rafe – he’s not there – she lies on the couch moaning OMG OMG – Rafe arrives – thrilled to see her – he hugs and kisses her and tells her that everything is going to be OK – he promises. She hugs him back and we see tears in her eyes as we cut to ……

Livvie’s where Caleb finds Livvie asleep in Bull’s arms on the couch – Caleb tells Bull that it’s time to rise and shine and go home – and Bull does. Caleb steps right on Livvie’s red rose [which ended up on the floor somehow] and crushes it.

Livvie is afraid – but of the wrong thing – as she stutters out that is ‘not what Caleb thinks’ and Bull “was just trying to be a good friend.”

Caleb stares at her. She asks ‘why are you looking at me like that?

He smiles [not a nice smile] and tells her “because I have a secret” he steps forward, puts one hand to side of her neck “you’ve been a bad girl, haven’t you, Olivia?” He asks and the show is over.
