delicious food. My sister and I went there for an early dinner after doing some errands this afternoon. We shared a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon (they only had wine and beer, not a full bar). We shared an appetizer of fried green tomatoes topped with crispy crawfish with some kind of sauce (maybe remoulade?). Then we shared two entrees. One was blackened redfish over crawfish etouffee with sautéed string beans. The second entree was called Taste of NOLA and was a trio of gumbo, jambalaya and red beans and rice.
Needless to say, we brought leftovers from this feast home along with two pieces of New Orleans style warm bread pudding in bourbon sauce with candied pecans on top. Might share one of those bread puddings in a couple of hours with a cup of coffee. Delicious food, good service, great music. The only problem is that it is here in central Florida where we are unlikely to ever be again after we close on this house on February 15. I wish I had found Fire on the Bayou before my last visit to this part of the world.
