I get it. I have frequently had things I've been borderline obsessed with that

now I'm just...not. I remember one of my friends saying several years ago something along the lines of "Kris, once you're into something you're REALLY into it, and then once you're done with it, it's gone." At the time I was kind of offended (not offended but way milder but I can't think of the right word) and thought "I'm not like that!" but I TOTALLY am. My biggest obsessions over the years have been mainly TV or movies, and in order, starting in college, went Highlander: The Series, The Adventures of Sinbad (a freaking terrible tv show but the lead was cute, lol), Star Wars: The Phantom Menace and all things Ewan McGregor related, a foray into Harry Potter fandom, and probably the last one was Supernatural (I may be forgetting a few in there). I can't think of one that I've gotten really into since that, and honestly I stopped watching regularly years before it ended. I still haven't watched most of the last two seasons and finally watched the finale about two years after it aired. I'll still watch some Jensen Ackles things, but I haven't even watched his season of The Boys yet (and I watched the show before he joined), though I did watch most of Big Sky. I still like Ewan McGregor but there are a bunch of his things I haven't watched all of, like his season of Fargo (got a few episodes in and lost interest) or A Gentleman in Moscow, which aired recently. And I once traveled all the way to LONDON just to see that man in a musical on the West End!

Sometimes I'm sad about it, because I made a lot of really good friends online through SW:TPM and Supernatural (though most of them I was friends with through SW first and they also liked Supernatural) but I don't really talk with them much any more because a lot of them are still really into various media fandoms and I'm just...not. I think the closest I've come in recent years was the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but it's been super disappointing since Endgame and while I've watched a lot of the movies it's just not the same. I even have like three seasons of different shows on Disney+ I still need to watch.

So I totally understand you, with regards to Home Free. Your love of them burned bright for a long time but IMHO sometimes those things don't last. I still have a lot of fondness for the fandoms I was in, and every once in a while will read old fanfic or look up if there's anything new, there's very little I can't wait to see or am counting down to.
