Yeah, that was... something. I got spoiled almost INSTANTLY since I couldn't watch live, but I suspect if I'd seen the episode title I'd have known it was a Lovett quote and have been pretty nervous, too.
I listen to the RHAP podcast so I'm also familiar with Aysha in a big way. So at least I'm down to one podcaster to root for. Andy, unfortunately, is also pretty known in the RHAP community so that felt like postcast-on-podcast violence.
It's weird. I really can't point to what he should have done differently. Andy was pretty clearly the best firstboot from the edit. I don't get why it was Jon, other than "he's famous-ish"
I do know what you mean by chaos demon, but that's while sitting next to people he has known for decades, so I think what we saw was Jon's measured "making friends with the young people" energy. Though I did sort of laugh when he said that, like he doesn't engage with people younger than him all the time. He was even literally engaged to someone who was 10 years younger than him. He's a "young" 40.
I There was an NFL quarterback once and a coach, too, I believe? They can get more to come aboard.
Was there a quarterback? I definitely remember the guy who was the GM of the... Florida Marlins, I think? He also went out first. Then there was the NFL coach from the Dallas Cowboys. At least two big-name baseball players. Lisa Welchel was Blair from Facts of Life. Jonathan Penner is probably better known for being on Survivor at this point but the first place I saw him was as one of the stars of The Last Supper. Mike White, of course, is a well-known screenwriter, but he's also acted in things like School of Rock. Then, of course, there are those few people who were on Survivor and got famous later like Elizabeth Hasselbeck and Chase Rice. There's a lot of people, and that's not even counting the ones who are famous FOR Survivor.
