Maybe I watch too many thrillers/murder mysteries but all of the circumstances don't sit well with me. I hope that it was carbon monoxide, as it is painless. I Googled and mummification of a human body takes approximately 70 days, but mummification of the hands/feet only takes a few weeks. I just feel like there is much more to the story:
1. Door wide open. Perhaps it was a nice day/evening and "the event" occurred first thing in the morning or right before bed.
2. Murder/suicide. Did you know you can slowly poison someone by dropping Visine into their food or beverage? Did she kill him and then kill herself by taking pills?
3. Did they accidentally ingest something that killed them? I think the dog in the crate died from dehydration.
4. Did one of the contractors attempt to rob them and things turned violent? But then why no obvious signs of trauma?
