However, while she was moving backward, it makes sense she wouldn't have noticed tripping over the suitcase. Kristina is not telling a lie, that did happen. However, as Rick rightly pointed out, her flying through the window (and breaking the glass grrrr) was a complete accident. Had she not tripped over the bag she would have simply fallen on her behind -- which may not have been good for the baby, but would not have ended its death.
