What he said wasn't exactly wrong. But the issue i have is that he always told her what a great mothers she is and defended her and her past decisions. So now he brings it up in order to deflect away from his own actions and any accountability. Again showing no regret for what he's doing. I mean, he literally just rolled off of Michael's wife a few hours ago. And this whole "you don't know about what me and Willow have" seems hollow and self absorbed.
And Carlys decisions about Michael/Sonny has been mitigated and thrown in her face for over 2 decades. Bringing it up now seems pointless and convenient.
