TONY IN SEARCH OF A LIFE
At the Brownstone, Lucas has drawn a picture of "My Family." They send
him off to school, and then Tony starts off on his own. Bobbie tells him
he's scaring her, and it's worse than fighting. She wants to know if
he's upset because she's been keeping a secret [Fearless Updater Analysis
here: why yes, he is. But he's mostly depressed and angry, and depressed
people tend to forget it was EVER better: I don't think he's lying about
never feeling good, I think he WAS happy when Bobbie was back, but he
doesn't remember it now. Carly has given him some joy, and the contrast
is the unrelenting gray depression.] Bobbie might be going to tell him
about her daughter: "Obviously you've been angry with me for a long time
and I didn't know" [she didn't CARE, more like] but Tony cuts her off. He's
been numb ever since BJ died, he tells her.

Meanwhile, Carly is looking at the flowers and remembering the previous
night.

Stefan is on the batphone asking the Mysterious Minion about Virginia
Bensen and why did Bobbie go to Florida. A bored Nikolas comes by. He
denies he's looking for Laura. Stefan will ask when Nik can go home, and
he sees Tony and Carly smiling rainbows at each other. He interrupts to
ask Tony about Nik and Audrey comes up to talk to Carly, who resigns from
the Nursing Program.

Bobbie runs into Stefan and Widens Her Eyes at him. She heads over to
Nik, who despises being fussed over, and leaves. Bobbie and Stefan
discuss Laura's decision. He is worried about Nikolas who comes back
just then. Bobbie goes into the Silly Soldier act again. She goes off
to ask Tony about Nik. He snaps at her, then apologizes, he's been
talking to Alan about the dicy state of GH. Audrey comes up and tells
them Carly has resigned.

Back at Kelley's, Carly is packing. Jason comes by with her watch and
suggests she not listen to what anyone else tells her. They part friends.

Bobbie is sitting on the couch looking at Lucas' picture and she and
Audrey talk about it and about GH. Bobbie starts to cry when she can't
find Tony. Stefan comes by and touches her shoulder. Meanwhile, Tony
comes to Carly, who has stopped packing. When she says she isn't
leaving, he just lights up and hugs her hard.

MANY CHARACTERS IN SEARCH OF A GOOD LAWYER AND/OR A GOOD SHRINK
Tom tells Felicia "you didn't sleep very well last night" and she says
she won't until "Kevin Collins is a permanent resident of a maximum
security prison." The phone rings. When she answers, there's silence.
After the introduction, we see it's Kevin, in an agony of indecision as
to what to do. Finally, he responds, and she throws the phone down in
horror. Tom picks it up. Kevin is confused, he was calling Mac with a
message for Felicia, to tell her that Kevin plans to plead guilty. Tom
says it was an accident, and Mac confirms this as he and Katherine walk
in. Mac had left call-forwarding on, having no idea that Felicia would
answer. Felicia doesn't believe it, never having heard of
call-forwarding before, apparently.

Lucy has asked Gail to come to the jail... please please convince Kevin
not to plead guilty. Gail tells her "it's going to be difficult to wage
a successful fight for Kevin if he is not willing to fight for himself."
She leaves to see Kevin and Lucy collects herself. Out in the hall, a
woman catches up to her. She's Alexis Davis, lawyer, and she wants the
case. "I'm better than good, I'm the best." She says she's not an
ambulance chaser but she enjoys a challenge. Not the hype, but the GOOD
things about the Law. The Alexis-Lucy dialog parallels the Kevin-Gail
one. Alexis says sometimes "when that happens [getting caught] they feel..."
and Kevin tells Gail: "Relieved. That's how I feel." Gail asks if he's
feeling guilty about Felicia or about Ryan, and in about the only spark
of interest Kevin has shown all day [talk about "numb", Tony could take
lessons!] he says "THAT subject is closed!"

Mac would like Felicia to back off. Tom signals frantically that this is
Not a Good Time, but the damage is done. Dara comes in and Felicia tells
her about the morning call. Dara knows the defense has a new hot-shot
lawyer, but Dara (who looks positively FROWSY in comparison) is cocky as
heck. (With no possible reason to be, either. Has she ever won a case?)
Katherine tells Mac he shouldn't turn his back on Kevin, and Mac asks
whose side she is on. She says "Yours." They would like to leave Robin
out of this, and Jason conveniently walks in just then so they ask him
not to tell her.

Lucy introduces Kevin to Alexis. Kevin announces he plans to plead
guilty. Lucy asks Alexis to excuse them, and then in the Emmy Scene of
the Week she pleads with her Doc. She reminds him how much she loves
him. She pleads with the Kevin inside. He, however, is afraid of the
Kevin inside. She argues that he wouldn't throw a patient in jail and
throw away the key. He says he has demons inside, don't you understand?
And she says they're DEAD people and if he goes to jail, he'll let them
win. Besides, he shouldn't go to jail when he doesn't know what he did.
She ends by again telling him she loves him. Back in his cell, Kevin
remembers a little of Jasmine Island (just that Lucy was there for him.)

Court convenes. Katherine stops by Lucy and tells her about the
call-forwarding. Lucy asks Gail how it went. And Dara confronts Alexis
with her confidence "however misplaced," as Alexis describes it.
